Just bought a brand new (2012) double cab Tacoma TRD-Off road.

    Quick queston...
Does anyone know the possibilities of converting the exterior accessories (door handles, Mirrors, and rear bumper) to the paint-matched version that the TRD-sport has?

    Thanks.

You can find door handles and mirror covers all over. Lots of guys buy the chrome covers for mirrors then sand and paint them.

The bumper would probably be better to either buy from a dealer already color matched or you could buy a bare one and have a shop paint it.

like others said. look in buy/sell trade on here. maybe someone. also save money. get the paint, strip and prep the rear bumper and paint it you’r self. i am thinking about doing it. i kinda like the black door handles. but i may get my mirrors painted. and a color matched grill.

i bought the black paint-matched grille for my TRD off road, couldn't stand that awkward sole chrome grille insert much longer. the rear bumper doesn't bother me much. I'm looking into the 2012 sport package signal mirrors, but if I'm going to do that, i mights as well go all out and do the 2012 4runner mirrors with the puddle lights.

Not the only nice thing once you wheel in a '09 or newer Off Road 4WD...

I have done a lot of 'testing'...

Having traction in the front and the back (A-TRAC) is even better than just a rear locker and 4WD... The 2010 way outshines my '05 and '01 4WDs with just the rear locker.

    Have $$$, can do :D

There are factory replacement color-matched parts for the front grill, door handles and mirrors. For the rear bumper your only option is either paint the chrome version you have, or buy a black primered version and paint it/have it painted.

FYI, I have an SR5 and "Sportified" it. Bought the grill for 220, sold original for 120, bought the door handles for 120, sold originals for 60, bought the unpainted rear bumper for 140, had it painted for another 100, sold the original for 220. I didn't do the mirrors since after I'd done all the above, I thought the black mirrors actually looked good as they matched the window tint and just blended into the dark window area.

I ended up buying each part from a different source as I did this over a year or so, and that was 3 years ago. If you search through the forums you should find some current OEM parts links (might try Camelback toyota or ToyotaPartsBarn). Also there is a thread with OEM grills for 185 and I think I saw that they had 2012s in some colors.

For the bumper, check out this thread for the cheaper part numbered black bumper and search around for it.
