If I remember that episode they were using flex light and direct mount fans with no fan clutch.

I'd argue you'd have a really hard time getting anyone to bite on a full kit that is more than $500. Is it necessary to use the "best" fan out there?

 I've been trying to figure this out myself, but I'm more capable on the mechanical side of things. Not fluid dynamics, air flow and electrical.

I'm the wrong guy to ask. I don't think I've paid full price for any mod on my truck, actually only @MESO stuff because they're the cheaper mods out there. But I'm a cheap fuck. I'll buy used or on sale 99% of the time. That said though, 5-600 maybe? Hard to say so early in the game.

Sub'd for updates. I hate how crappy my A/C works in the heat of a TN summer. My truck is a '17 but ever since it was new, if I leave my family in the truck running to go into the store for a few minutes, I come back out and the air blowing is barely cool and the truck is already warming up. Idling in traffic, cab starts to warm up. Id totally be interested in fixing this issue as I'm already out of the TSB range for coverage. plus this looks like a much more solid solution

Maybe consider a PWM version, and a cheaper On/Off set-point version... that could be upgraded to the more advanced controller?

    And for that reason

I'd gladly sacrifice 20hp for having the truck last more than 2 years without a problem. Can't say that about any of the 3 GM products I've owned and more that I've seen.

Ya its not a need for a stock truck daily pavement princess. But out side of that wheeling here in the mts in 100 degree heat at low speed high loads the system struggles. Now do that out west in 115 in thin air it barely works. Then add super chargers and more gear and weight and thats the audience this is for.

100 to 117 out here and not turning the fan clutch is a big deal for me. The extra power I would gain however minimal is a bonus. There are times I spend all day in the field just idling all day with ambient temps around the 100 to 115 range, my a/c doesn't work unless I manually idle the truck up to around 1500 to 2000 rpm is my biggest reason for wanting this upgrade.
