On my Tacoma the cupholders are pathetic. The plastic "fingers" keep on tearing apart. I have replaced these numerous times.

This time I replaced the fingers on my cupholder with thick neoprene from an old mousepad. Works great.

    Cost - 0$
Total time - 1 hour at most
    Tools needed
    1 Philips screwdriver
10 mm socket and rachet (sp)
socket extention (not needed but helpful)
    sharp scissors

Please dont ask for pics, the wife took the camera with her.

Hey jrallan26 yea samething happen to me on my 03 but when I went to replace those fingers, I found out that Toyota has changed the material to a rubber material not that soft sponge stuff.

    P/N 66995-AD011
    P/N 66995-AD021

    cost about 4 bucks.

I bought some of those also. They also tear after a while. Thats why I made these out of neoprene. Works much better!

Basically what I did was I used the old fingers in the cupholder as a pattern and cut new ones out of neoprene (mousepad).

I will take a couple pics later on.

I ordered these from this website and they cost me $8. They are the new style that don't tear apart like the the older ones. I figured I could spend the $8 and not trace out the old ones and cut up a mouse pad (good idea though). I almost did that when I went to the dealership and they told me I had to buy the whole console. Idiots!

I'll do you one better. Go to McDonalds and hit up the dollar menu. Buy a fruit and Yogurt Parfait. Take the lid off said parfait and put it in your cupholder upside down. voila! your cupholder now holds 12 oz. cans without tipping over

Can someone tell me how many of each part number would make a complete set. I know there are different sizes and all my tabs are missing so I have nothing to reference for the sizes. Thanks

Don't buy the same material. Do this:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1st-gen-tacomas/14384-cup-holder-thingies-2.html#post2138962

    Far superior. Total cost $2.50

    Exactly

i would use the gasket material but i have no tabs left for templates. i did find this quote that helps out if anyone needs the correct info:

Ok, The dealership I use just confirmed that there are only 5 of them. The way it works is that the two that are cloest to eachother are actually 1 tabe that is double sided if that makes since, 1 side sticks in 1 cup holder and the other side sticks in the other cup holder. Here is what you need:

    Part Number 66995-AD010 Quantity 4
    Part Number 66995-AD020 Quantity 1

these may be the older material. i believe the new material used is ad011 and ad021

See attached for a template. Don't resize it or "fit to page" Just print as is.

I'm telling you, the 1/8" gasket material is VASTLY superior to the material you'll buy from the dealership... at a fraction the cost.
