I think folks have fit trailing arms and kept the bed. Not sure of any other dual triangulated 4 links. Biggest thing is relocating the tank and exhaust, too. 3-link keeps people from having to move the tank and is probably a much more feasible solution to linking these trucks without reinventing the wheel. I’ve still got a ways to go before it’s finished. Starting to see light at the end of the tunnel though :fingerscrossed:

I have seen a couple of them on Instagram but the fuel tank always ends up in the bed. I use the truck for all kinds of shit with renovating the house/ camping/ throwing mtn bikes and surfboards in for trips. So the only way I see of doing it would be doing the JD fuel tank relocation kit. From what I have read is if your going to the effort. of 3 linking it you'd be better off 4 linking the

That's sick dude just got to keep plugging away at it.

Been following along loosely in the JD thread but I'm glad you made your own dedicated one. I'm not typically a fan of folks ditching their beds but jeez, you pulled it off! I feel like you ripped through this epic project in an impressively quick time too. Keep up the rad work, it's cool to see and very inspiring!

Thanks man, it's hard not to make it look short and stumpy since it's a double cab, but the toolboxes and other stuff I've added have helped. I really like not having much hanging past the rear tires. There's a lot more room to back up without hitting stuff haha

Thanks, I wasn’t sure what to use but these will get the job done. Definitely need a tag light though. Not sure the legality here, but you can’t see it at all.

By tag light do you mean the light for your license plate? I just used some of the lighted bolts for mine. They make it pretty simple. If you search for lighted bolt on Amazon you'll find them. I'd link them if I knew how.

Nice. It seems like a pretty good solution.

I'm curious about your suspension plan as it progresses. are you dealing with the coarse work first and then getting into details such as shock tuning? do you plan to run it at higher speeds, or focusing on lower speed stuff?

I’m not very picky. Accutune tuned the shocks with the weight and basics available. They nailed the ride height and everything without much to go on. After I adjusted the front coilovers, it sits right where they said it would.

I just got back from beating on it in the woods and hit 60 on some paved back roads. I don’t feel like anything was left on the table. It’s mostly slow speed stuff here. I’ve blasted my dirt road at 35 and it was butter smooth even aired up.

I’ve been using the truck as a sapling killer. Anything under 2” diameter gets run over. Good way to plan some new trails where the tractor dares not go.

Thanks man, I’m stoked with how it rides offroad so far. I’m still getting used to the aesthetics of having a double cab with a short truggy bed. It’s just…awkward haha. I may end up extending it or doing some tube fenders up front to balance it out. It is crazy nice to be able to back your tire into a tree though and not touch anything body wise. Can make much tighter turns. I need a mixture of form and function…

I feel you on that. There are some proportions that need to be kept to make the truck look good I also think. Truggy rear ends on the double cab look odd to me also but I get the benefits are enormous!

Took it for a spin in the national forest. About a 15 minute trip on the road each way. Rides and handles very well on and offroad. Little more body roll on the road. No driveshaft vibrations or anything. Crazy smooth offroad.
