im sure there is a thread here that shows how to disable my DTRL, I’m not a fan of these lights ON with my halos, I’ve seen threads with mod where speed signals stay on instead of DTRL, I just want to turn them off. Any help is appreciated

Buy the jumper block from the dealer... I just deleted the part # and didn't keep my receipt, but it's <$10.

Buy a Smart Tap flasher. Remove factory DRL y-harness and module, install Smart Tap and jumper block. Contrary to threads here, you can do this without taking any of the dash apart, I got mine done with the clutch pedal in the way so of you have an auto there should be plenty of room!

I just followed the wiring from the DRL module flasher (black box clipped to the right side of the fuse box) laying on the floorboard, to the 2 plugs behind the fuse box. Neither of them have any tabs actually holding them in, just wiggle & pull. Then install the jumper & flasher by feel.

    ^^ yep.

To remove the DRL and install the Smart tap flasher, you need the grey plastic jumper block part# 82671-30360. It's available from the dealer for about $8. Your truck has a 3 way harness that goes to 2 spots on the fusebox and to the flasher on the right side of the fusebox. Remove all that and install the LED flasher and the grey plastic jumper block. This will eliminate your DRL. The Smart tap flasher does several really cool things.

This is what grandpa taught me to do, sure you may have to replace the bulbs more often but it makes sure that people can always see you.

sounds like this is fairly easy to do if I can manage to get in those spaces...I will get the block from dealer, thanks for the part #...
By the way is this the flasher you are referring to "2005-2013 Toyota Tacoma LED Turn Signal Flasher, LM 449 (CF18)"Flasher.jpg by Diode Dynamics?

Or just bring it to the dealer and have it program them off. My local dealer did it free of charge.

Left low beams on with my 02 DBLC and we do it with Wife's Mini. The Venza has a DTRL OFF on the Stalk. Plan do the DTRL Switch Mod on my 10 TRD Sport.
