No sir! I caused that "issue" fully on purpose by adding shit that needs power, a hard wired 800watts (1600peak) inverter among other things. I'm not here to have a fight with you, or anyone.
That said I have a feeling you cannot answer my original question so I'd appreciate you stay on the sideline from here on out

Holy shit I'm gone for like a few hours and this happens lol. For the question pertaining to the es300 alt it ranges from 90 to like 130 depending on the model. The alternators are also in some Camry v6. The reason I say these look like a closer fit is they're on the same side of the engine and appear to have a similar mount. I plan on trying once I can get back out to the junkyard by me where alts are like $25. If you want to go the expensive route I have found a site that make high output alts http://www.m2kinc.com/product-2tr-fe-38-377-2.html. I'd just rather experiment and save money though.

Also OP are your a 1st or 2nd gen?

I had already found that site actually and called them bc they are local to me. Almost a grand for an alternator is fucking madness tho!

Fuck that I never actually contacted them about it. I figured it was high but not engine swap high lol It kinda sucks the 2tr-fe doesn't have more support even though a lot of pre-runners have them. I too have a 1000/2000 watt inverter I've been waiting to install lol

I can only image if any of us wanted to use a winch >___<

Winch is no problem if you only use it for occasional recovery, just get a deep cycle battery.
I heard you can also get your alternator re-wound to put out more current but that means being without the truck for a while and I don't know how much it costs or who in SoCal even does it...

Hey OP. Something we use to do when similar issues happened was installed a capacitor to help out. It will take the stress off the electrical system and prevent any flickering. The capacitor builds up a high charge and balances the system by making up the difference when needed. Plus they dont cost that much. They can be had for around $100.

Thanks for the link. You did see that it's a rebuilt one? Seems pricey for that... Is that one an OEM one where they changed the output capability?

Yea man, it puts out 250 amps! The stock one for 4 cyl is like 85 amps.

I'd like to for an inverter, but money is kinda tight right now. Ironically because of the inverter! Lol!

Supposedly it's made with better technology too that puts out higher amps at lower speed than stock. It may use a smaller pulley than oem, not sure. If it does you may need a slightly shorter serpentine belt.

Nah...Belt tensioner should take care of that. However, what are you going to do about wiring?
Just run one additional wire from the alt to battery?

You mean to carry the current? I'm not sure. I haven't researched that yet. There's a guy on the forum that makes kits to replace the big current carrying wires with larger stuff, like the bat cables and starter and alt wires. Lemme see if I can find his thread...

That's definitely the expensive way of going about it. Since he is making these wires for the V6 which has the alternator on the battery side it might not even work for you unless you extend the cables. At that point might as well build your own.
And his supplier BNR has earned themselves a real shit reputation for making rosy promises which their merch fulfills 30-50% before giving up the ghost entirely a few months later. Btw that's the same company you shared the eBay link with. If you decide to go with them make sure to take a good look at the amp/rpm charts and get a solid warranty.

I think I'm just gonna stick it out and eventually get my alt rebuilt by a reputable company like singer or mechman

You bet. Back to my OP, I've compared pictures of the 4cyl and V6 alternators online and they look the same so a swap might still be in the cards. Going to compare physical tomorrow night

What about the wiring? Does the V6 have the same 4 pin plug like in the pic above?
