Does your heater work well when really cold

Not a DC, but mine gets hot enough to bake bread it seems like, even at 30 below I stay warm and toasty.

 

2011 regular cab 4wd.
Drove forty miles yesterday in about 15-20 degree temps and heavy winds. My wife, who complains about the cold in July, was asking me to turn the heat down.

 

my side windows front and back will freeze up inside depending on how cold and how many people i have in the truck, even with the heat or defrost cranked. at -20c and my dog in the back seat, the windows freeze up. im not too happy with it.

My 2011 takes forever to get warm. My 07 was the same way. In comparison to my work van (chevy 2500 express) anyway. Seems like that truck is warm in a couple minutes. The difference between the two is my van has an electric fan and our trucks have a clutch fan so it takes a lot more to get the engine warm because its cooled off constantly.

When making a quick run to the supermarket it will never have time to warm up.

When it's 20 below or more it takes a long time to heat up for sure. Anytime else it will really pump out the heat

 

mine works good. gets too hot for me, i usually have it like just a little past the middle...

 

I got a 13' dblcab and my heater is like two foxes phuckin in a forest fire it is damn hot even at -25 up in the mountains

 

It depends a lot on whether you have a load on the motor or not. If you're all city and sitting idling it ain't gonna put out much heat. If you have the defrost crank while idling the engine coolant may never get hotter than 150F if it's cold out.
