    welcome

take your time w/ the install and they look factory.

clean the area with the alcohol wipes...let dry...put the sill piece in place...then pull on the double sided tape "tabs". note: be sure all 4 "tabs" are exposed before sticking the 1st one (or you'll have a rough time getting to the others)

after I had a sill piece in place...I used a blow dryer on it while pressing to make sure the tape glue was good and stuck.

and, I did it recently in the heat of Florida summer...if it was cold/cool outside...it may be wise to heat up the sill pieces for flexability and a better fit.

    Larry,
Is that a Double Cab you put those on? Would you be able to measure the length of those? Looking to put them on a regular and want to make sure they fit.

    Thanks!

Jeez I had the nice ones from TRD Parts in my cart, they want $16 to ship to Florida. NO WAY. Also, their coupon code they advertised for Black Friday didn't work. Booo

Only get the AVS ones since they cover the edge. The Toyota ones and many others don't.

I went ahead and ordered them, now I see why shipping is $15; I didn't realize they were stiff plastic, I assumed they were sticker-like.

Anyway I got them today and you can tell they give you the single cab pieces for the fronts. They are curved up on both ends, which does not make for a good fit. Kind of disappointing because it's a simple fix on their end. I don't have a heat gun to help me to warp the back ends down to flat. Would a blow dryer do any good to soften the plastic?

I have the toyota sill protectors too, and I will probably go with the AVS since it protects the edge. Thats where my boots hit the most. I dont actually step on the sill, just occasionally drag my foot against the corner.

I am considering these too, I have the factory sticker ones, and after 6 months they have tons of small air pockets under them, looks terrible, and I spent a long time putting them on to ensure there were no air bubbles under them...

You have the wrong ones or you have the back door sills on your front doors.

No those are the fronts. The back ones are much shorter and one end is "almost flat". Also they are labeled for front and rear. I checked the product number and according to the avs site, I have the correct pieces. As you can see, they are not even close to fitting correctly.

Yep you guys are right. I ordered double cabs assuming they would have same front pieces as access. Duh I'm a tard. Also they don't advertise access cab pieces! Guess I'll be selling these and ordering new ones. Damnit.

I talked to him and he used the standard cab version. Which to me would seem to also be curved on both ends. In his picture you can't see either end but it looks like one end goes all the way under the closed half door. I will probably try to sell these without shipping g costs to someone in my area (orlando)

Spoke with customer service at Auto Ventshade and they do not make an access cab version. However, they do make a universal version which is flat on both ends, 30.5" long with a 1" curved lip running the length of the piece. Comes in a two piece set. This set should work best on the access cabs.

    It is item number 88407.
