    Just did that job.

You need a round donut gasket for each joint. They are the same size. I was able to save all the hardware off the manifold, but the 2nd joint on the passenger side hardware had to be cut. I recommend pulling the whole y pipe out of the truck with both cats up to the manifold. You do not have to discomnect the 2nd joint on the passenger side to get the pipe out. Once apart the flange surfaces will bu rusty and cleaning them will open the gap. Find the thickest ring gaskets you can. Spec is 1/8” thick but you can find them a bit thicker. Aftermarket is fine, they are pretty much the same.

This is the kind of job where the vehicle is down when you go source parts or deal with unexpected hardware issues. Having another vehicle to drive is important.

Just got it fixed at a local shop. Took them just over an hour. They said no broken bolts with a little heat and just replaced the gaskets. That’s the best $125 I’ve spent in a long time. World of difference just driving down the road. So quiet and I hope this improves my mpg a little bit.
