I hate inventor but that's what we use at school. I never had a formal class on it since I skipped straight to the hard stuff but I'd really like to take a class using solid works or something like that. The work is just really detailed.

huh..can't say i know what program that is. And i didn't really have a "class" on it lol but my school got it new when they bought a 3D printer so me and two other friends just sat down and learned it ourselves. Took a while but by the end we could make dam near anything. Make a pump and turbo and was in the middle of like a gear box but the we graduated lol

Sorry should have specified, it was autodesk inventor. We just shorten it. We unfortunately don't have a 3d printer yet but we now have one of those ridiculous flight simulators for our aerospace class. Stickin to the cnc machine though for precision machining.

I noticed what looked like an air hookup on one of your images. I'm curious if you drilled holes in the frame to use it as an air tank?

Sweet Rack, one of the best I've seen! I have been toying around with the idea of building something similar... Did you have the tubing bent somewhere or do you have a bender? I live in Rogers and have been looking for a way to bend tubing!

Oh wow i guess it is gone :(

Well then I guess this is not a thread jack. I'm (Bay Area Metal Fabrication) designing a bed rack as we speak for a customer. The CAD design will be shown next week after I make the final tweaks to it. It's for a 2nd Gen DCSB so stay tuned for that. I'm no CAD master like the OP but you will get the idea of the design.
