Does anyone have a part number for the factory front camera switch? I'm installing a front camera in my truck and would like to use the factory switch.

I'm not sure if there is a switch either. I'll have to check with the dealer. Thank you for the link.

Have you installed this yet, really looking for an anytime front camera mod. Git the camera but not sure about wiring harness. Curious about how it function in combination with reverse cam, head unit, etc. I would prefer that i not have to change the source on head unit for the camera to work

The common mod is to use a relay on the two cameras to toggle between the video signals. Another switch signals the head unit to show the video feed regardless of which gear you are in. The schematic is in another thread.

I am aware of two camera mods out there. Hoangde’s requires you to switch the source on the head unit which would interfere with radio and not the prefered method. JJ’s has just teo push buttons and doesnt require you to switch head unit but is not in production anymore. Im not sure if this info is correct but that is what i understood when asking both players

The most notable visible difference is JJ used a relay so that the switches could match oem while Hoangde uses two switches one of which is a double throw which can't be had to match oem. You don't really even need the jumper kits but you would have to cut/splice into the factory harness instead and most seem to get queasy about that.

Ask @Hoangde again, as another way was figured that allowed both anytime to work as you are suggesting. This leaves the aux input available for other uses, like miracast.

I just installed the anytimebackupcamera.com system and it’s exactly like JJ’s. I added a front camera and the AOB dual rocker switch and it works perfectly. The switch sticks out more but as I had a blank spot there I leaves the cubby empty for switches later. It’s also so low I don’t easily see it yet it’s easy to find with my hand while driving. I had to dremel a little as the opening is the right size but the very back of the slot is a little narrow for the switch. The harnesses are all plug and play, the relay toggles back and forth so all you do is select front or back. Last photo is the front view and the guideline is 4 ft out

So to be clear, you have one double switch for front/rear camera and one switch to turn on cameras? One toggle switch for navigation overide, and also included the phone mirror setup? You got hoangde harness plus the addon cable? Also, using the cameras does not change sources or affect the head unit besides the video? Sounds like exactly what i want.

Yes. No. No. No. Annnnnd no. :)

I have the anytimebackupcamera.com system, not Hoangde. This system doesn’t require any cutting, and it’s one switch that’s ON-OFF-ON. So in the center the head unit operates normally and then switching up or down allows either the rear or front camera to display. I didn’t opt for the Nav Override. The radio plays, phone calls still work, it’s just the screen that changes so you don’t lose any functionality viewing a camera while driving

The FRAC Harness kit supplies switches for the Front/Rear Camera selection at any time and for Vehicle In Motion anytime menu enable.

It’s Plug and Play, you just need to provide the front camera of your choice.

anytimebackupcamera.com does the same thing and cheaper. Also get your own factory style buttons instead of mittle misplaced buttons
