    Some Stuff...
Hey guys, I am thinking about making some light bars for those of us that are running Satoshi Grills. Note: This setup will also work with you grillcraft guys too. I figured if I can get 10 people that are willing to buy one from me then I'll start making them. Here is some info on the light bar..

The original idea has to be credited towards Kevin (Klipp11) for the schematics of this design. I originally saw this on his thread and decided to make my own. Sorry dude, Hope I'm not stepping on your toes by offering up this service..

Here is a link to his thread-
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/li...nversion-mount-behind-satoshi-how-w-pics.html

Now, The light bar itself is made out of aluminum. This will allow a light but durable material that evenly distributes heat across its member. I found this to be the best material readily available to construct this light bar..

Note: You will have to relocate the horns and remove the latch cover in order to install this light bar. Both of which are extremely easy to do and I will provide as much assistance as possible in helping you do this if need be..

Now, my current set up (as pictured below) is a rough prototype.. I basically followed Klipps thread and made my own. The only variation between his in mine is that I added thick rubber washers between all the metal to minimize vibrations while driving. Also, I have the lights centered in the grill with equal spacing between one another. However, upon request I can relocate the pre-drilled holes for a wider stance. I'll just need to know if you have an oil cooler or not.

    Stance #1 (--0-0--) Stance #2 (-0--0-)

Note: In the pictures below you might notice the fantastic paint job..... (sarcasm) Okay okay so don't freak out! I included a picture of various paints I used on a sanded piece of aluminum for you to compare the difference. From left to right the results only get worse.. On my prototype I ended up using the krylon paint (far right) However after testing various brands/types I found that the restoleum bbq paint provides the best finish and will also last the longest. (The picture was taken 20 minutes after application) As you can see the Gloss paints are still drying or have runned...

The Rustoleum Heat Resistant Paint that will be used on these light bars is very durable. it protects against rust and is resistance to heat up to 1200F degrees. This is the same paint used on my radiator pictured below.

I figured that $45.00 shipped to anywhere in the US would be a fair price to ask for the light bar.. Considering cost of materials- labor- time- packaging/shipping-etc...

Now for $45.00 you'll be getting a box in the mail which includes: 1 predrilled/painted light bar ready for assembly, 2 predrilled/painted mounting brackets, 1 child like diagram of how to assemble and install the light bar, and all hardware required to mount the light bar. Which includes rubber washers, nuts, and bolts, etc.

If your interested feel free to post up any questions or regaurds you may have about the Light Bar. After I get 10 interested buyers I will go out and begin production of the light bars.. Estimated completion time is 3-5 days..

Alrighty.. So I've got an update for you guys.

Ive spent the last few days test fitting and making brackets.. I currently have 2 Light Bars in stance #2. And 2 Light Bars in stance #1.

Unfortunately I also have some bad news.. If your truck has the Oil Cooler than ONLY stance #1 will work. I've made multiple brackets in an attempt to space the lights farther apart but the oil cooler continuously presents a problem. If you relocate or remove the cooler than light bar #2 will work just fine. If not, Light bar #1 works just fine as well (That's what I have on my truck BTW)

    Soo in short..

Stance #1- For trucks with or without Oil Cooler

Stance #2- For trucks without Oil Cooler

Please let me know if your interested in one of these light bars. I am willing to give a discount to the first couple of buyers to get the word out for me about how they like the product.

i will gladly purchase stance 2! only thing is, it would sit in a box until i get back home from deployment

pm payment info and i'll get that to ya

also, any recommendations on lights to go in there?
