This 4.0L should have come with 8psi of boost and at least 4.56 gears from the factory. It’s a game changer. I came from a 2007 2wd naturally aspirated Tacoma before this one and my friends used to ask if getting the new one with the supercharger was worth it. Hands down, every time I can’t imagine this truck without it. Driving my buddies NA taco from time to time helping him tune only makes me so much happier with my truck lol. But he also needs a dd and to leave his truck with me for 6 months with a blank check so I can actually help him vs show up for a day of wheeling and ask what we can do. Nothing if you can’t leave it for more than a day and a half.

Back on trac, boosted tacos for the win

Not that they still couldn’t use an extra 200hp, but adding boost is about 1000x easier than a motor swap.

Don't forget the steering tie rod outer uniball angle on your list of LIMFACs.

On my setup (+1.5 J-Arm) the 934 CV and the steering limit out the down travel at basically the same point. Obviously going wider would make the travel numbers better, but it's still the same limit.

IMO if you're going to go through the effort to make a custom knuckle you want to ditch the OEM control arm mounts (upper for sure, lower maybe) and re-work all the geometry.
