Silca gel is your best bet. Get something like this- its rechargeable after it is used up by heating in oven:

Your right goes for all the U.S. have no doubt the insurer will total it. A submerged vehicle is a liability on the roadway. It may look okay after it dries out but the true is...it’s now junk.

    Do everything suggested above.

Then, go and buy a new truck.

The bottom line is that you experienced an unfortunate testosterone surge, which temporarily distorted your judgement, leading to a swim in the puddle.

Well, with one step in between, sell it off record and hope the new buyer is NOT on this forum haha...at least your side view mirrors made it out alright...

Does insurance pay if you knowingly drive your truck into a place the truck wasn't designed to go?

OP you're buttfucked. I'd run away from that truck if possible.

This was an accident due to inexperience. While the OP is at fault he’s not liable...that’s what insurance is for to cover the liability. Water does damage you can’t see...so the truck is a total loss. He didn’t intend to destroy the truck it just a consequence of his actions therefore insurance will pay...

Electrical connections will be your biggest issue in the future. Since you are pulling the carpets, and I hope you have a good idea of how high the water got in the interior, pull every single electrical connector clean and electrical grease it.
Please don’t clean it up quickly / cheaply and sell it (posted above), it will become some other poor bastards problem that doesn’t deserve it. If you are going to replace it then go through insurance, as that way it’ll never get sold to some poor sod who doesn’t know the history.

    Holy sheet

You would think after the first huge crash, he would’ve put it in reverse and left while he could. At least he got a helicopter ride

So I gathered four things from that video:
    1. Dude is either drunk
    2. On drugs
    3. A complete idiot
    4. Possibly all the above

He should have gotten the underwater model, it comes standard with a snorkel and waterproof seats.

Ok, I called State Farm. They will cover the repairs and other stuff. She says rates will not go up because you didn't actually have an "accident."

So, we've had about 3-5 inches of rain here in Asheville this week. I'm going out to the Smokey's on Saturday. Pictures to follow.

    Who wants to join me?
