I have been experiencing my front brakes locking up while off-roading. Yesterday I was at Hungry Valley OHV in Ca, for an amazing day of trail riding. I kept having my front brakes intermittently lock up while on the trail. For One or two seconds, they would literally lock and tires would slide. I know this is definitely not normal. It could be dangerous if this happened at just the wrong time. Anyone have any ideas what’s up with this?? I’d like to figure it out and obviously stop it from happening. Pics for attention

Sounds like VSC. Was there beeping and did the pedal pulsate/make noise?

Don’t think the pistons are sticking. Brakes feel perfect otherwise, but “lock” up when wheeling hard. Fast trails, lots of bumps, at 30+ mph.

Usually around turns, again at decent speed. Definitely not slow or crawling.

Gritty, sliding feeling is the best way to describe it. On hard banked turns, and flat turns. For 1-3 seconds.

Turn your VSC off next time you're out and see if it still does it

Ok, will do. Thanks for that. Just to confirm, hold down the VSC button for 5 seconds to turn it off?

Yeup, just press and hold for 3+ and the dash light will illuminate. Once you're done offroading, give the button a tap to turn it back on again.

Yup that's it, give it a shot next time and let us know how it goes. Hopefully that's the cause as it's a simple fix
