Has anyone installed a front bumper camera to assist when parking. I have the hardest time judging how close I am to other cars or objects when I park. It would be great to see what my options are. Not sure if I can tie it in to the factory tuner display but not against having another small monitor to display the image on.

    Any ideas?

I'm in the process of installing one now.(Started last night). I have the cam that goes in the front emblem and will install a 3" monitor up by th rear view mirror. Cost me about $50 for everything off ebay.

No camera required (For parking. Great idea for off road though).

Practice parking next to a 'wall' (stack) of cardboard boxes. When you master that, you can remove the guides.

Dad taught me similar spatial judgements for gokart driving. Set boxes 1/2" outside of the rear wheels, had me go about 100 yards way, facing the other direction. Had to start, do a 180 and run full throttle and go between the boxes, no touchy.

Took me a couple of hours to master, but once I did............. Turned out to be a foundation for cone free autox times in later years.

Practice. I can put either bumper within an inch or two of other cars.

Worked on it a little bit. You can get the harness to go directly to the head unit but that is not what I wanted. I think the harness costs about my total or more. I installed for off road but you will get the benefit in a parking lot. A couple pics and the hardware I used. 2AABC5C3-110A-4A98-BFD4-ED3D5A462554.jpg45506C6D-C835-4841-A0CE-4775C076387E.jpgB1BDB5CA-D49C-446E-A28E-172D21A264E1.jpg

I finally got everything installed and wired. Works great on the road but wheeled on the mountain today. About 50 miles off-road today and it cut out as much as it was on. I can’t recommend the set up til I figure out what the issue is.
