The Clearview Rearview Mirror Riser...Get that mirror out of your way !

After a year of development and revisions…we’ve finally made production runs. So now it’s time to LAUNCH of our two new (and only) products.

We call ourselves BirdDawg Industries…but we’re really just two Tacoma owners, both members here on TW ---( Tbird & RockDawg )---, working
out of a home shop. Out of frustration, we created two products to fix perceived Tacoma shortcomings. One, a versatile tech–gadget holder to
accommodate all your gadgets AND the other, a rearview mirror riser to get better forward views through the windshield.

We initially developed these just for us, because we wanted them. After testing, and revising the prototypes, we realized these two new creations
are solutions that other Tacoma owners would like to take advantage of. Thus it was late in the game that we decided to invest some time and
money to make these “things” worthy to bring to the Tacoma Owner market place.

The Mirror Riser works with the '05-'13 Standard rear view mirrors with no modification (See pics below).

The Mirror Riser works with the '05-'13 Convenience Package electronic mirror with an easy removal of the wire retainer bracket (See pics below).

This is the official Clearview Rearview Mirror Riser thread…

    The CVRV Mirror Riser:

The Clearview-Rearview mirror takes that annoyingly low rear view mirror that’s always in the way of good views and moves it up 1.5” to 3.0” out of
your driving sightline. But even better, we integrated a RAM mount on it. You don’t have to use it…but it’s a great option for those that want to
mount a GoPro, cellphone, or GPSr. It’s a super quick and simple install. All you need is a small pry tool and an allen wrench.

You can profile your cut...but here we just did a quick hack to see how it would work.

Nice job guys. Do you have any pics of these devices being used? What do you hang from the pivot ball and what do you have mounted on the tech deck

Great product OP! Just for clarification: If we have the backup camera and auto-dimming mirror this will require substantial modification to make it work?

Not sure how well this would fit on my 4Runner, but I'd be willing to be a test dummy :D

We'll get pics of GPS and GoPro on the mirror...and in this thread/webpage tonight. I'd want to see them too!!!

    Thanks for asking.

I just uploaded pics of the mirror with my Garmin NUVI in a X-grip in the first post of this thread. I'll get Dawg to get up some pics of his GoPro on it later. I have a GoPro...but no ball for it.

Honestly...we are NOT absolutely sure. We know it fits all of the 05-13 standard mirrors w/ NO modification at all. We think it fits the 05-12 "electrified" mirror with just the elimation of the plastic cable shroud. On the 13's it might require cutting a clip. We gotta find a test truck.

Thanks, I really appreciate the straight shooting response. I'll pull the plastic off when I get a chance and see if anything is "problematic" looking, might be ugly, or otherwise cause interference.

Again, great job on a good product!

You're right, the mirror sits too low. Now that I know you make this, it's going to annoy me every time I drive the truck until I get one. But I have an '11 with the electronics, so I'm waiting to hear what you find out there.

Congrats on getting the products out there. Two great ideas!
