    Will do.

Got new hoses between the filter to air compressor and plasma cutter. Conveniently short (at HF) cause I hate running super long hoses where I need a short run.

No markings on it, if I had to guess from memory I'd say Craftsman. Definitely not impact rated :bananadead: Replacements are 1/4, 3/8 & 1/2" impact rated Milwaukee Shockwave.

    Got them from HF.

Surprised how beefy they are really, and the swivel at the end is convenient and leak-free.

It's 3/8" at 5' long Also opted to use brass couplings for quick connect/disconnect.

Buy a quality die grinder. After investing in some Mac air tools, I’m a believer. My Mac die grinder and 3” 90 degree grinder are insane. They have a dial to adjust air flow. On low they’re great for precise and finish work or high hogs material away.

I also bought quality consumables as well and that made a difference as well.

If you already have milwaulkee power tools, I have one of the m18 die grinders, and 2 of the m12 90 degree die grinders, and they have been great. Get used every day, quite a lot.

    Welders,
I haven't welded in 20 years, but I have a few small welding projects I need to address in the next year. I think I want to buy a little flux/solid core or maybe even a tig/stick welder. Nothing crazy I won't be welding anything large and don't want to spend more than $300 total. Open to suggestions. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Used market will only get you something that can do solid core well. Never used it but flux-core only Titanium 125 is also in your price range.

    Well, what projects exactly?

I'd opt for a welder that can do solid core, so you can have the option in case you want to do some clean welding.

Most will also do stick welding, which in turn can be made to TIG weld. Any stick welder can be a TIG welder, just need to adapt shielding gas and control it independently.

Or maybe you're close by and we can just knock them out right away.

Coming back to ya as promised.

So the other day I went ahead and opted for the "not so cheap" Harbor Freight die grinder. I mean everything is super cheap there anyway.

It's the Chief mini die grinder, some professional series.

I chose it over the others because both its size, and weight. Felt much better in my hands than the other.

Someone mentioned the medium used, and as simple as die gringers are, I opted for a nice Champion titanium carbide burr bit. Got that on Amazon.

The bit by itself had a lot of heft to it; made in good ol' USA.

    20220812_134113.jpg

Had forgotten to get a swivel when I took this pic.

    20220812_134404.jpg

Anyway I got to work on my bumper a tad and this thing made stupid quick work of it.

    20220814_102425.jpg

The air compressor didn't even have to kick on for more than 3-5 seconds when I finished. This thing just eats metal away easily.

I don't have it turned up all the way cause I remember at really fast speeds it can catch so I wanted to prevent that.

    20220814_102445.jpg

I'm normally one for battery-powered goodies, having M18 and M12, but I wanted to add some air tools to the bunch. My air compressor does plasma cutter duty almost exclusively.

That's right, you were the one suggesting just going with HF on a die grinder.

The bit for sure is the real reason why this made the job super quick. I should mention I did dial down the regulator as well as the one in the tool and it never bogged down once.

Not a single chip on the bit either.

If the tool was something I used often, I would've opted on a whole bit set (they're $250+) but for small work, buying one or two at $20-30 each will easily suffice for a long time.

Its possible that I will be in the market for a riding lawn mower in the near future. I dont know anything about riding mowers though, what things should I look for since I will most likely buy a used one? I am thinking John Deere, Cuba Cadet, Toro.
Something in the 40 inch range, good mulching feature, don't care about bagging clippings.
