did a little bit of home improvement fabrication.

picked up an antique wrought iron fireplace shield over the weekend. widened it with some scrap from around the garage, and welded some hinges on. nice little deck gate to keep the dogs in now. you can see the ugly fence we used to use in the background.

I'm really liking my shitty GTAW skills lol actually welded up most the bumper and started on the panel tabs, got the recovery points burned on(2 passes with the mig...hott!) anyway this thing is turnin out good! Gunna do a nerf bar and a couple other small tubes to reinforce the outer corners....this bumper is for @BBtacosurfer by the way..... Tryin to trim some weight off the front end for him

Where did you find the all weather flooring. I'm about to pull my carpet and was gonna bedliner the floorboards, but this could be a better option for me

refer to the last post. it is for a 4door truck but the name should still be the same. I ordered from the dealer and installed myself. it is a special order item so there are no returns, but if you ask your dealer like I did (4 dealers total, to be honest bc they dont even know what products they sell!!!) and work with them to find it. when they tell you it doesnt exist, show them the pics ( I did) and then they may actually take the time to help.

    Hope this helps

EDIT: in that thread, there are a few AC's that have the flooring for reference pics. Its only a 3 pg thread so easy to read it all.

so im looking at making my own simple cab mounts to relocate them about 3" back. im thinking it should be an easy thing once I get measurements. as far as I know, all i gotta do is really drill a hole for the bolt back from the stock one, weather proof it and itll be done (minus the welding of the bracket of course).

Is there anything you guys know about this that is jaw dropping or a reason to NOT do this?
