    Hello all,

First off, I wanted to thank all of you for your incredibly informative threads/posts. This forum has a lot of great members who have made some very helpful contributions for those of us with Tacomas. I bought my 2014 Tacoma Double Cab 4WD TRD Off-Road about a year ago, but have only made a few modifications in the last year. Regardless, this site has given me a lot of ideas.

Anyway, I read through the threads by MustDrive and RJP869:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...mp-sensor-install-2014-off-road-pictures.html

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...ew-mirrors-2009-15-tacomas-other-toyotas.html

I decided my next addition would be the auto-dimming homelink mirror with compass/temp display. I ordered the Gentex 453 mirror and kit from RJP869 (Bob Prim, bobsmirrors) and finished the installation today. I followed the write-ups by MustDrive and weendoggy, which made the job super-easy. But I did make one modification, which I thought I'd share.

The temperature sensor wire wrap length ended up being about a foot short, so I added some in order to protect the conductors between the grommet and the sheet metal through the firewall. But I also added some 3/8th wire wrap to the conductors coming from the mirror between the base of the A-pillar and firewall. See attached pics...

So thanks MustDrive and weendoggy for your write-ups! They were very, very helpful! Also, I'd like to thank Bob-RJP869 for his excellent customer service. The mirror is awesome!
