Kind of a silly waste of money. Same performance and you’ll drop half of the cost of OEM LED to get there.

I agree - it is a waste of money. I just wanted to figure out what I need to do to get the DRL LEDs working on my SR. I thought about going the full LED route, but I realized all I really want are headlights with black housings. I looked into the BHL mod, but I don't want to spend the time pulling apart my headlights. So I might just go with one of the Ebay BHLs: https://www.ebay.com/itm/313576455425

Yeah BHLM a set of SR headlights. Cheap and straightforward. Decent plan.

I have TRD Pro depo headlights with Morimotos HIDs for sale. Message me if you’re interested. Nothing wrong with them.

The fitment guide suggests the part numbers won't fit a 2016 tacoma. Is that because of the wiring harness needed? Or will it physically not fit in the OEM headlight space?

Physical assembly will bolt right up perfectly. All about the wires and more specifically, de-multiplexing DRL + Turn. A surprisingly annoyingly difficult problem to solve, either requires labor or money + complexity to solve.

Thanks, Dave. I just purchased your harness kit. That should allow proper fitment based on what I've seen on multiple install videos.

OK, so you're just in the wrong thread, roger.
