Hi guys, long time lurker here, did a bunch of mods thanks to you guys.
But my 2009 dc base model sr5 will not shift out of park. Parked in my drive with slight decline. I always use e brake when parking. I started truck as normal but would not shift from park at all. Abs light is on. No previous issues, always shifted no problem. Any imput would be great.

    Thanks
    Jamie

There is a small cover on the shifter bezel, removing it will expose an emergency release for your shifter * just in case you are stuck somewhere

Brake fuse is issue. I replaced the fuae and almost immediately popped again. I must have a short somewhere. This suucks. I don't want to get screwed at the dealer for this.

Do you have a test light?
Have any pictures of your rear damage?
Try pulling all of your tail/ brake lights with another new fuse.

I pulled my tail light, disconnected connection. I put new fuse and same thing, popped in 2 seconds.

Could be brake light fuse like guy above said, I've seen a couple threads of people having that problem in the last few days alone.

Don't get screwed at the dealer! You know the issue just a process of elimination now. A test light will make this easier and is cheap.
Just to confirm, you pulled both your tail lights, correct.

I added led bed lights, and strobes. But everything wired with relays, direct battery, and switches. Nothing connected to brake, parking lights.
