Makes the horn honk when you unlock and lock the doors remotely.

Be very certain when picking the correct wires. One stupid mistake can burn up the wiring harness.

Red and black are hooked up, or do you mean the other 2 12v wires that I need to splice under the steering column?

You need to check the 2 12v wires to see what they do. Grab your multimenter, put it to voltage. Ground the black probe on a good ground. Grab one of the two 12v wires and check what it does when you remotely unlock and lock the door. Tell me what you find.

Ok that confirms what I thought. You can do 1 of these 3 things.
    1. If bare ends are present, cut the bare portion off. Tie a knot in the wires and tape them up and out of the way.
    2. Use one of the 12v. wires to make the horn honk when locking and unlocking the doors.
    3. Find something else that you would want to intermittently power. Dome light?

So I do this and then we're hoping the locks will start to work?

Ok Look, Your going to have to do a little investigative work yourself. Figure out what is wrong, think about what your doing and try different things. It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to hold your hand through out installing a keyless entry system in your truck. If you not sure about a wire check it with a multimeter.

So this is what I have discovered while trying to install something with wires in my truck I have no business doing.
The box works, when you hit the remote the box clicks.
I have connected all 3 possible sets of wires to the gray and purple wires coming out of the front of the fuse box (listed as lock and unlock for my truck). None of them will work.
I also discovered that with the gray and purple wires completely disconnected I can still lock and unlock my truck from the door.
    YEAAAAAAAAAAA
Almost every single wire coming out the fuse box jumps when the lock unlock buttom is pressed. Different numbers for each one and different jump heights for each one.
Not going to cut each wire to find out which one works.
Anyone have any ideas, then great.
Probably just end up pulling it out and paying someone to install it or buy an alarm system.....

I hope I'm not too late!

Just installed this same one on my truck... Took less than 30 minutes to install... those instructions and wiring diagrams are crap. Someone in the Amazon comments posted the correct wiring...Here's what they are.

    Red - constant power
    Black - ground
    Yellow - ground
    Yellow/black - ground
    White - lock
    White/black - unlock
    Brown - lights
The rest of the wires are unnecessary.

Here's a link to a fantastic install thread that was a huge help!

    Keyless entry for $20!

Pretty good quality, easy install, but instructions and wiring diagram are useless!
