No#1 theres nothing sugary about my tits & pretty sure he wasn't looking for a reward, nor was he trying to peddle his concept for $$ & I fully understand the trial & errors of R&D, thats kinda where he's at isn't he ? Not sayin' everyone is supposed to hoist him up & parade thru the village singing his praise nor should they just slam him because his attempt doesn't meet the polished final version of well known fab shops, again I don't see anyone walkin' the walk, just alot of talk, & you say it was pointed out by you & most others ok, HOW was that info relayed ? Constructively ?? Not so much I think..

I dont know about the original thread only from what I've read here, my point is at least give it up for him for trying, its not real different from the bullshit I used to get for using junkyards for spring builds, I reiterate I didn't say it was the best idea, just thought his motivation for attempting deserved more props than what was given, the best of designs have to start somewhere right ? & not combative at all bro'.. Maybe I read wrong but like i said , its HOW the criticism is relayed, ya can't just say " Your fab sucks ballz,fail!". & not expect some neg. in return ,,ya know what i mean ? So he may have gotten some sound advice but if the delivery of the info was more of a "you dont know what the fuck your doing" attitude then the good info probably falls on deaf ears because it comes off like a personel attack. just sayin'

 

Everyone tried being helpful when this all started... Kid is a dipshit and called everyone wrong. He deserves all of this now.

 

I hear what you are saying, the argument I have against that is he needs to man the fuck up and take it all in. It said it right from the begining, if you have anything bad to say dont say it at all. From the get go this is a bad idea. Nothing about this design is going to end well, a spliced connection is always the weak link, the material he is splicing to and how he is splicing is absolute shit. At the end of the day it is hard to compliment a plan of attack as shitty as this one. That's why I am hard pressed to give him props.

This is my boys that I have been building in his garage, this was full droop while at the shop getting shafts. You stated that most giving him shit dont 'walk the walk'. Gave me a chance to whore this sweet picture out whilst disproving your 'walk the walk' talk.

Ok ,this is my plan for the day, I've gota set of springs off a '74 Chevy that are almost a perfect fit lengthwise, by almost , it's within an inch of 'yota OEM specs. & they cycle beautifully, nice & plush for the first 2" & firm up nicely under compression, I'm going to break them down & cut the leafs to suit what i want, any takers on if its going to be a win or a fail ?

(seriously, i dont know if it will be or not, leaning towards the win but we'll see later today & I'll post up some pics)

(not directly directly towards you) but whomever, read this whole thread, sci fer through the nonconstructive posts and the genuine "trying to help" posts and rethink whether or not we are just bashing this dude for no reason.
