So, as most of you guys know, I have had the IronMan4x4 lift for a while. I noticed on their facebook that they were getting a new type of shock, and I of course had to try it out. My last set were beat up, and one of the shocks was going bad (my fault, not manufacturing), so I got a hold of IronMan4x4 and got set up with a new set.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1yziZv6Bho
    [IMG]
These came fully assembled and typically set at 3" of lift. I asked them for a bit less though, which I instantly regretted. It took me a while to find a spanner wrench that worked well on them. But, they are on my truck, spanner in hand, and can be adjusted with just a bit of elbow grease!

Install was smooth as can be. But I already had a lift, so it didn't really take much effort. In fact, I did this one all by myself this time around. BensonX did come over and lend a hand on the left side. Plus, he had a better torque wrench than I did.
This is the spanner wrench I picked up for adjustment. It fits perfect inside the holes on the coilover.

I haven't had a chance to get these off-road yet, but the on-road difference from my previous set is night and day. My wife even noticed the change in handling on the freeway and some of our shitty Washington roads. I do need some new tires before I can really give it a go off-road with these... but I am closing on a house and can't purchase anything like that right now... Hold on for a few weeks and I'll let you know how they work.

If anyone is interested in these, contact IronMan4x4 America at http://www.ironman4x4america.com/ or 971-264-9016 and hey will hook you up with the info you need. They aren't on their site yet, but they do have a bunch of kits ready to go.

These are also good for FJs and 4runners. They have kits coming soon for other models as well. These are also around $785 fully assembled for the whole front package. This is very competitive with most other adjustable coilovers, if not WAY better pricing than some with bigger names.

Here is the link to my other thread.

I now see he has the IM lift. In guessing he was one who didn't take care of the coils and they rusted, based on his buying other lift options in his recent posts.

    Ah.

Just curious, did you pay full price for your Iron Man stuff?

    Meh.

I did. But I got on my first set 4 years ago when they were still priced low. And I wanted something with a bit more adjustability this time.
I also has my coils and replaced under warranty once. They are really good about that.

I wasn't going to say anything in this thread but it wasn't a matter of taking care of the coils for me. To take care of the problem, I would have had to take them to be powder coated professionally. Something that should not have to be done. I hope they took care of this problem. I really tried to like the Ironman kit. It's the height I wanted, price was good, and at the time customer service rocked. The customer service was great all the way up to the point where they said they would fix it...then they just stop responding to emails .

Hopefully they do well but future buyers should be cautious.

Still not having a single issue with these. It's really nice to be able to adjust them if I need to. Had to adjust the passenger side up a bit as it finally settled.

I wouldn't mind stealing someones bumper/winch and seeing what kind of sag I get at this height... Just need to figure out who I'd borrow it from. I don't have plans in the near future for a full front bumper though.

Extended travel. I got new UCAs at the same time. Extended travel is the same price as normal. Adds about an inch of down travel.

More down travel would be nice; IFS front ends don't do that very well most of the time compared to leaf springs, or, like and 80 series solid axle with coils.

Replaced your coils under warranty? Why?
