Updates:
Replaced my map lights with MESO ultimate map lights. Fun.
Painting my MESO driver side cubby which will hold:
Switch-Pros 9100 | Clutch Start Cancel
Cargo Rocker | Inverter | MESO puddle switch | RedArc trailer brake controller.
Got started on seat heaters and hacked up the harness so I can use dimmed illumination.
Prep to run a new 8 gauge feed from the battery to my driver side kick panel MAXI fuse holder feeding the power under the cup holders. Because I’ll be using the trailer brake controller feed for the RedArc. Not that I have anything to tow but at least I’ll be ready.
Ordered Amsoil fluids for diff, transmission and transfer case. Contemplating engine oil too. Fluid work planned for thanksgiving

Short term to do list:
Switch-Pros 9100 power module and connect to bus fuse, feed trigger and control wires through firewall.
Feed 8 gauge power through firewall for lock panel maxi fuse.
Red Arc brake controller
Install new driver cubby and press into place.
license plate light defeat harness and bed stiffeners
High current distribution center off 175 amp bus fuse. (Possible quick disconnect switch)
Power and ground in cab under seats for amps.
Speaker wire injector harness (for quick swap from head unit power to amp power)


Down the road.

3. Clazzio or Katzkin w heaters

5. bedside ARB twin compressor

 

I have the clazzios. Really like them. I like leather seats, but hate when they wear out. That is what I like so much about the clazzios. You can actually swap them without redoing the upholstery, and you can buy spares (you know I love spares!) of just parts, like the drivers seat and armrest cover for example. And hopefully next week you'll have the license plate light defeat installed so you can let us know how it works.

 

My mini stiffy setup is almost ready.

1 pair mini stiffy
1 pair OEM D rings
5 x frame bolt 7/16-20x1 (aka fine thread) — need 4
2 x 7/16-20x1 hex nuts.

Drill one hole. Relocate D rings to the top. Use frame bolts and brackets on the tailgate side.



I’m also planning to install a custom license plate light reverse defeat harness from senor puppypunter while I do this.

I was originally planning to recycle my seat bolts since they are fine thread and I figured that would clamp the bedside well.

then the OEM D rings arrived and they are SAE 7/16” fine thread.

kinda mind blown on that one.

Still, rarely have I truly regretted a fastener purchase.

 

Latest installments:
1. Clazzio seat covers with heating pads.
2. First part of Switch-Pros (power module) and stalled out getting the wire through the firewall.
3. Custom @Puppypunter combo LED headlight adaptor + DRL grille light output
4. Custom @Puppypunter harness for license plate light defeat when in reverse + DD LED license plate lights
5. Sand and attempt a better job of painting MESO driver cubby and OEM shift boot collar
6. Bed stiffeners
7. DD SS3 MAX 6000k on the minivan (and minor bumper re-form + JB Weld due to rock crawling incident)

Plenty of remaining mods including a big budget for time on sound deadening and puddle pods / door speaker install.

Coffee grinder mod complete. Newer (higher quality) burrs on basic Baratza Encore grinder. Wife increasingly annoyed as I had to order a new driveshaft after being unable to separate the old lower burr from the original shaft.

Found these. Will try to get them attached. Might help a little but of course not waterproof at all

 

Not truck related but I got some metal powder coated for the play structure and house ladder.

 

Also working a tiny bit on high current since it’s bitter cold and I can’t fathom being outside.

chances I could get past TSA with this in my bag?

 

Updates:

Coffee grinder mod is proving well worth the time and effort. Much improved grinding experience with new burrs.

Very minimal progress on the truck. Picked up a nail and got that tire patched so switched to my spare and thus the 5 tire rotation begins. Forgot to write down the number from the TPMS on the spare so I need to go back to DT to ask them to scan for me so I can update via TS. It’s reading the spare right now which isn’t so bad, really wish the display showed all 5, would be so nice...

Very slow progress on wiring. Truck in pieces for the most part, just barely driveable. I did get some cleanup braiding and heat shrinking done on the seat heater harnesses though so it’s now time to connect them and see if it all works.



But I’ve been cranking on the play structure and it’s nearing completion pending arrival of some remaining fasteners and a 2nd railing.
