I only had trouble parting with my first vehicle. After that one every sale was a relief and a chance to try something new.

Congrats on the sale and the soon-to-be-renovated bathroom! :D

Figured I'd bump this instead of starting a new Jeep thread :anonymous:

Janster, first of all, my apologies in advance if the resurrecting of this thread brings tears to your eyes :p

Secondly, Are you (or anyone else) familiar with the "stall bug"? My other half drives an 08 4 door JK, and it has stalled out on her 3 times (once in the canyon ). After doing some googling it sounds like the stall bug has infested her Jeep, but the latest news I see on this is from back in 07. This Jeep has been nothing but a mess for us...all kinds of electrical problems. I'm trying to convince her to get rid of it...

(the post here by Beep4x4 describes the issue that her Jeep has been having)

I know it needs to go into the dealer to have it checked out, but I'm hesitant for two reasons

    1) Her normal dealer shut down, and the next dealer has been everything BUT competent on all the prior issues. They gave her free service for a year for their f*ck ups, and she still prefers to take her car elsewhere for service.
    2) I'm afraid of the standard "Sorry, we can't replicate the problem"

    Any suggestions?

...and before anybody says it - I registered on the Jeep forum to inquire but it takes 2-3 business days for a mod to grant posting abilities  Thought I would inquire here in the mean time.
