Same here. Probably why there's no cutoff shots and it's been over a month.

Resurrecting an old thread, be prepared...
so I just found a new mod I’m itching to do this mod, retrofitting 7” Jeep led headlights into my headlight housings. I wanted to use oem headlights but I didn’t want to use my housing Incase something went wrong. I found a set of oemheadlights off a 2005 on Craigslist for $50 that would work great for my application... I have a 2015. My question is, are all headlights 2005-2015 interchangeable? I know theyr different colors, but are all the bolts the same and everything? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Yeah the grille changed with the later 2nd gens.

Also I should note I still haven't gotten a good chance to take output shots (yeah I suck) but I can say it's brighter than stock but not as much as a true retrofit. Honestly though if I want more light that's what my pods are for. I love how they look.

I should note that when you put in the side bolts cut them to almost flush with the reflector or you light may not adjust as much as you need. My passenger light is off to the right slightly and it won't adjusted left anymore. You can only tell with the high brights on so it doesn't bother me.

Also you going to want to seal around where the bulb used to go through (and where the wires come out) so you don't have water or mainly mud come in. (Ask me how I know) luckily everything is waterproof inside so I just washe'd out the inside and let it dry.

This was an experiment that turned out pretty well and for the price I would do it again. In a couple of weeks I'm going to be helping a friend do the same thing so I'll take more pictures. If there's anything you guys want better pictures of let me know. My friend also has a good camera so we may take some output shots too.

Awesome, subbed for the later install... what exactly is that bolt for that you put in? Is it for adjustment or just more secure mounting?

It's for more secure mounting. I wanted something more than just epoxy. Just don't leave it too long or it'll prevent your reflector from pivoting more during alignment.

I have a set of theese on the way and I'm going to attempt this, how well has it held up? And wouldn't the holes in the back cause moisture to get in?

Should have taken the LED lens off. Having two lenses might distort the output. Especially if it's glass.

They're holding up great. A few of my other local Tacoma people have done them as well. Like I mentioned the only issue for me was the bolts are slightly too long and interfere with adjustment. As for the holes I did plug as much as I could but I still don't have any moisture issues and I live in South Florida.

Unfortunately that's all the pictures I took. I would suggest checking alignment before gluing and just remember that you can adjust horizontal and vertical but not rotation so make sure it's level.

What about the holes you cut in the back for the bolt, what did you do after the bolt was set

The holes are in the back of the reflector housing and I would suggest using near flush bolts with some glue on them to set it as well.

I have a cheap set of eBay headlights that in tackling this project yet, I know headlights have to breathe so the little rubber caps on the back, should I keep those on or remove them to act as vents from the rear? Because I am sealing with 3M window weld and then silicone around the edges. What's your advice ?

I left pretty much everything else stock. Just modified the reflector housing. Oh and vinyl wrapped the reflectors

Kinda pointless to show a retrofit with out showing full night shots for comparison. At least for the persons interested in following suit.
