They wont even touch the truck with any suspension mods in the rear and if stuff is done in the front they are citing that as well a reason not to do it. TSB applies to the 2005-2014 v6 5 speed automatic access cab and double cab trucks (LB or SB). The leaf spring replacement falls under warranty under the 3yr 36k mile (T-SB-0008-14).

Typically if you did a lift (AAL for example) the shim would be placed with the fat end at the back of the axle to point the pinion upwards to correct for the difference in height.

Just wanted to post my findings.
Ive had 4 Tacoma's and each one different when it comes to vibes. My last one (12 AC)
Had horrible vibes and nothing cured them. Had 3" front 2" rear lift and ended up having to get a double cardon one piece.
Anyways, I just Dakars and installed them with 3 degree shims. I had take off vibes shudders, and i tryed lowering the Carrier Bearing but it didnt help much if any.
So descided to ditch the Shims and made it better. So i descided to keep lowering the CB til my vibes where 90% gone.
Ended up being 3/4".. like someone on here suggested. Soo happy. I had take of vibes and vibes at 20-25 mph.

So you used a 3/4" spacer and all vibes are gone? I might have to try that.

I've been meaning to get around to doing this too. Glad to hear it works well. :D

yeah, I had some 3/8" steel laying around so I made some spacers, and added it to the 3/8" OME CB drop spacers. Had to get longer Bolts, but yeah it worked.
Today I need to take it out and paint it so it doesn't rust.

I need to drop mine further and I'm at the stock bolt limits. Do you remember the spec on the cb bolts for an easy trip to fastenal? :D

Full tank of gas (100lbs), bike rack + bike (75lbs), + a 60deg morning cured my vibes

    20ece2866010d607a8cabd4beddd084c_52d6f9578c9a6bf49ef86d0279c4734380ba5e69.jpg

No but seriously the difference between a 95deg afternoon and an empty tank and this morning is night and day

I guess the 180lbs of rear squat plus the cool temps were enough to alleviate any high angles and stiffen up the CB enough

Just so you guys know, the vibes aren't totally gone, just a lot better. and I think I can live with it.
Its weird how every truck is different. I just did a lift kit for someone and After installing the 3/8" CB drop spacers his vibes are gone.
but he has a 1.5" rear lift. Not almost 3" like I have with my Dakars.
I always just measure the angle of the 2 shafts to try to get them at the same angle. and it usually works

My situation so far. Bought my truck and it had 2.5" ome lift up front, and rear tsb springs. Previous owner had installed ome CB drop. Truck had slight lean, front higher than rear.
Noticed and extremely slight vibration when getting on the throttle at 60mph. Hardly noticeable at all.

I then added icon AAL to rear to level the truck. Vibration at 60mph got ten times worse and was noticeable now from 55-65mph. Also had slight vibe at 35mph and slight at 70mph.

So I stacked another ome CB drop on existing, adding little over half inch of drop... Didn't help, at all.

Then I found this thread... Decided to try taking both ome CB drops out (going back to stock driveline angles) and this actually helped a good amount.
Slight shudder 0-7, 35mph vibe gone. 60mph vibe got better, not entirely gone but better. 70mph vibe gone.

So next I'm going to try the CB flip and remain no CB drop. Will
Post back after I flip CB

I tryed everything, even 3 degree shims, and then figured out that they were too much. I got 2.5 degree shims and took out my CB drop spacer in order to get my ujoint angles closer. And BAM no more vibes. Soo happy

Update! So I flipped the CB earlier today at work. Commute home 100% vibration free!!! Sooooo stoked. Much appreciation to this thread.
So just a recap, I have 2.5 lift front and rear. No axle shims and no CB drop spacers. All I have done to cure my bad freeway speed vibration was flip my CB bearing and remove all CB drop spacers I had installed.

One thing that got a little more pronounced with the CB flip is the 0-7 mph shudder on start. It's still not bad, can definitely live with the shudder unlike the vibrations!

I seem to be getting some vibes when decelerating, anyone else have this problem?

When slowing down you feel it in the brake pedal/steering wheel around 20-25mph?

Had that thought, but its not constant during braking, only does it at a certain "frequency" (ie 23mph)

you get the decel vibe due to the rear end rising from weight shift.... this makes angles just different enough.

FYI i filled my CB with permatex ultra black RTV silicone to sitffen it up some.... reduced take off vibes by id say 70%
