That's what my OR looks like too. Not sure what to make of it. Maybe need to start loading up the bed to see how much it can take before I'm on the bumpstops.

    Tacoma isn't a 1/2 ton. The Tundra is a 1/2 ton.

Lets see, one ton is 2000 lbs., so a half ton would be????

The new ones they got me are 3 leafs + 1 overload.
They do look a little flat to me too, but at least they aren't bent now.

I've got the 4 leaf pack on my '13 with tow package.

This pic is from a recent trip with 2 bikes (obviously) and camping gear for two, tools, cooler, full gas cans, etc.

I know the load is carried far back and I expected some sag, but I was disappointed in how much it sagged.

I'm going to drive out to Colorado with only one bike, but a bit heavier bike (640) and all the gear. I'm thinking I need to beef up the springs.

I'm on the fence as to which I should do, the OME leaf pack, or Wheeler's 3 leaf progressive add a leaf. Any thoughts?

For the folks who have gotten the springs replaced by Toyota, does it fix the vibration problem when accelerating?

How about the aftermarket helper springs, do they fix the vibration?

I have a 2013 DC OR and find the vibration annoying.

You know there's a TSB out there for the accel vibes? Its a new spring pack. It got rid of my driveline decel vibes but made my accel vibes worse. I wish they would just fix the damn issue.

COME ON GUYS! THE TACOMA IS A 1/4 TON TRUCK. THAT INCLUDES ALL WEIGHT PLACED ON THE TRUCK. DRIVER ,PASSENGER, CARGO, FUEL, ECT. DON’T EXPECT TO CARRY 1,000 LBS IF YOU HAVE 4 ADULT MEN IN THE CAB OF A DOUBLE CAB. COMMON SENSE! LEAF SPRINGS DON’T HAVE TO HAVE A HUGE ARCH TO WORK PROPERLY. IN FACT MOST DON’T. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TACOMA SPRINGS. :annoyed::crapstorm:

    Guys, from personal experience-

Picked up my '11 DCSB TRD OR in November of 2010...had it for about 3 months before deploying. Just used it for everyday driving (hadn't found TW yet). Got back, used it as a daily driver...loaded my 600 lb motorcycle into it a few times, noticed I was pretty much sitting on the bump-stops the entire time. A very 'harsh ride' if you will...Finally found out about the TSB...took it to my dealer, (went to the wrong service guy who BS'd me about their not being a TSB) was told it couldn't be done, walked out on the spot, went to another dealer, the guy started BS'ing me until I showed him my TSB printed out about the harsh ride...he immediately rogered up and said they'd do the work. Got me a rental car for a night, called the next day saying they were waiting on parts got to keep the rental for another night...pick it up the next day...seems like its sitting a lil higher in the back...my dumb ass didn't bother looking...drove off...fast forward a few weeks when I go to load my motorcycle in the bed...sitting on bumpstops again...look up under the truck...oh look, a brand new 3 leaf pack (yea yea 2 +overload). Go back to the dealer, they say they did it and won't touch it, storm out, go to my dealer who looks at it, laughs, and immediately issues me a rental car for another 2 days. Turns out they just sent it over to the other dealer ship that did the original work and contacted corporate, letting them know what happened...2 days later I get my truck back with a 4 leaf pack (finally). Now lets fast forward barely a year later...I use my truck like a truck...offroad, camping, hauling shit, grocery getter. I'd say I put my motorcycle in the back about once a month TOPS. My leafs are flatter than flat. I can step up on the bumper and hit the bump stops. I only had Bilstein 5100's on at the time. So I go back to MY dealership, and the service manager that has always treated me well, he says he'll try to get another pack in there but will have to check with Toyota warranty first...calls them up on the spot, with speaker on...Toyota Warranty basically says "Sorry, already warrantied the leafs once, and Toyota is 'aware of the defect' of our shitty springs. that is all". My service guy says I could put in a claim on it, but to be honest, an inspector would take one look at my 5100's and claim aftermarket shocks caused excessive wear, yadda yadda yadda, wasn't worth my time or money.

That being said, I had All-pro expo's sitting around waiting to be installed when i went to get my second TSB :D. Not gonna lie, I was trying to con the dealer. Didn't work. Oh well.

Moral of the story- The leafs on these trucks suck in general.

I've heard great things about wheelers leafs. OMD does good stuff with leafs. i LOVE my all-pro expos, put some weight in the back and they are as smooth as butter!

If you had 600lbs in the bed then you had overloaded your truck. A harsh ride is the consequence to that and lucky you didn’t break something.

Really? Then why does Toyota claim 1000+ lbs payload?
