I have a 16 TRD OR with the keyless entry and start, I lost one of my keys and am wondering if anyone else has and what they did about it? At the time that I lost it I didn't have the other one with me and called the closest dealer. They said I needed to get the truck there ($$ for tow) and it would be 480 for a new key. So F*ck a bunch of that, but I would like to have a second key. I wasn't sure if there are aftermarket keys or another key that could be keyed to work with the truck. Also what would Toyota charge me for the rekeying the new key.
Any info or help would be great.
    Thanks
    Joe

I programmed the Lexus key pretty easily with techstream.

You would just need to buy a NEW key fob(used keys are a pain) , techstream and cable (Amazon or ebay), and a possibly the emergency key if it does not come with the new key fob.
