I just hit 4600 miles on my 07 PreRunner and the maintenace required light came on. I assumed it was just telling me it was time for my 5,000 mile oil change. So, I changed the oil but the light still keeps coming on. I know my wife's Jetta did the same thing at 5K and we had to have the VW dealer do the work so they could turn off the service light. Does Toyota do the same thing?

I have an error code reader and plugged it in and it came back clean, so I don't think there is anythign seriously wrong.

    Any ideas?

Yes it was about your oil change, look in the service man. and on one of the pages it will tell you how to clear said code, basically turn the truck off, advance the key to the power on position and hold the tripometer stem for like 5 seconds your milage will turn into a line of bars, once they count down and dissapear let go and your code should be gone
