Make sure to re-torque leaf spring U-Bolt Nuts after TSB work!!!

    I just went out and checked the torque of the nuts on the u bolts holding my leaf springs before I tow my new camper
    Good thing I did...some were only at 50 ft pounds

    I better get out there and check all the bolts holding my hitch on also

    I torqued all 8 nuts to 75 ft pounds

    Make sure to re check yours after your leaf tsb is completed by toyota

    Super charged,urd u - conn computer 7th injector, headers, pipe bomb y pipe,high flow exhaust.etc....
    Totally forgot myself replaced leafs at local shop in 2014.The great dealer replaced them with my new frame February of this year.Well gives me another reason to get under it !Thanks for reminding us!!!

    Thank You for the information!All u-bolts took some torque 50 2 almost 60!All good now will hit front bolts and cab bolts too!

    I would have been happy with 50, mine were barely more than hand tight !!

    what nuts are you talking about? I saw that the u-bolt nuts are 37 foot pounds each for the 2nd gen trucks. Can you show us a picture of which nuts you're talking about?

    The nuts on the U-Bolts are supposed to be 74 foot lbs. Those are the ones we're talking about.

    ok, so that pictures is wrong than? it says 37 foot pounds very clearly. Where did you get your data of 74 foot pounds from?

    On this website, do a search for it. The 37 was a typo.

    well did a search and found a different picture but this one says 52 foot pounds.
