Meso V5 turn signals are out!!!!

I was gonna hold off for Meso's led solution or a pair of pods. Whichever came first, but you are all making this very tempting. Whites look so clean.

 

Just went to install mine, but after reading all the posts about LEDs being out on the drivers side I did a test before ripping everything out. Last 4 LEDs aren’t working……

 

Looks to be common. Drivers side here as well. These are whites. Will check ambers before putting everything back together.

 

Anyone else not impressed with the brightness? Mine are not nearly as bright as the pictures on the website. I'll grab a picture later today.

 

Amber set is solid.

 

I installed my Amber/Amber last night. Wasn't planning to run the DRL, so can't comment on that functionality, but seems all LEDs are working with the reverse sequential signal thus far .

 

On the DRL wires, the issue is the size of the wires to tap and the fact that when Panel/Parking circuit is selected, you loose Bright.
The T harness at the headlight prevents this. Places the V5 DRL inputs in parallel with the headlights.

 

So just to confirm here as I am not a smart man. Taping these wires in the pictured harness/connectors will make the DRL function of the lights work at FULL bright when the ignition is turned on?

If I want to tap these wires, what's the best type of "tap" to purchase?

 

Looks like I also received one of the driver side assemblies with three burned out amber LEDs (white DRL w/ amber turn)

I didn't even test the white DRLs. I just boxed them back up when I noticed the burnt out ambers and sent a warranty claim to Meso. Fingers crossed that this can be remedied quickly, as it seems like many are having this issue. I honestly expected better QC from Morimoto on the LED panels.

Man what let down for some of you I'm sure they'll take care of you guys but still a bummer. Kind of gives new meaning to the title of this thread I was afraid mine would have some non working LED's after reading some of these posts but I guess I got lucky. (White DRL)

I installed mine yesterday but did not wire the DRL's. All of my amber led's are working for turn signals and hazards, reverse sequential. I plan to use just the turn signals until a plug and play harness is available for the 2020 DRL's. Or might just leave everything as is.

 

Mine came in while I was out of town. Came home and saw that some people were have issues. I was holding out hope that I wasn't going to be one but, looks like I didn't win on this one. Still waiting to hear back from them with the resolution.

also just got mine installed. Amber/amber and all are working.

Where did you tap the input? What did you use? 3M type?

 

did this come with the v5s or did you have to add it? I saw that there was a harness for non-led headlights but didn’t realize there was an option for connectors for the puddle pod harness/connector.
