More new parts to install as I prep the truck for an eventual sale. Working on getting all the little annoyances and maintenance items addressed so I can put a few thousand miles on it before listing it.

Already did new batteries, new fuel pump, front wheel bearings, new poly steering rack bushings, and a handful of other stuff over the past however many months.

 

Almost as staggering as one of us having a Tacoma in the first place

Let's see...I installed those uniball assemblies back in October. Also installed a blank (non-logo) front skidplate. Got the truck aligned and it drives really nice.

Then one day I drove it to work and smelled gas. After 12 years the fuel cell bladder failed and the tank was/is leaking. Right now it's sitting with the front wheels on ramps to keep it nose-high as the leak appears to be at the front of the fuel cell. I have a new Jaz fuel cell sitting in my garage waiting for me to install it. Not a tough job -- just a hassle to unbolt and remove the old stuff.

Working on the Tacoma took a backseat to working on my Expedition as my daily driver needed an overhaul. That thing is getting new everything-that-moves (control arms, axles, bushings, tie rods, anything with a ball joint, etc.), 4.10 gears, Detroit Truerac in the rear, Ox locker up front, Raptor wheels, 35's, etc. Also fixing cosmetic stuff like the torn leather seats and the like. Should be good as new once I get those differentials back from the shop and bolted back in. Hoping to get another 150k miles out of it after this admittedly-overkill refresh.

 

I have seen that. If my truck didn't have a 2 seat limitation I'd be all over that. I need more seats for kids these days.

Same reason I'm no longer on two wheels. Priority shifts are a crazy thing!

Can't fail the parallel parking test if the vehicle doesn't fit in the parking spot
