Tho this is my first TW post, I've been trolling this site for a couple months to learn about Tacomas and determine if it's the right truck for me. I've been a homeowner for 2+ years and grew tired of mooching off all my friend's SUV's/Trucks for my home projects (appliances, furniture, built a deck, etc), so I decided in July to finally sell my '00 Kia Sephia and get a pick-up. I'm not in construction and really wanted a vehicle that suited my weekend-handyman needs, so a full-sized truck would have been a waste. After 15 weeks of research, I finally decided on a Tacoma: great value, low cost of ownership, several options and rated #1 compact truck on many independent auto sites.

Purchased my 2011 TRD Sport along with the oem cargo divider, tow pkg, bluetooth, wheel locks, spare lock... wicked happy with my Taco and like my useless skewp. I've been going thru the plethora of mod articles and tonneau's available and am honestly a little overwhelmed by the wealth of information. I've already done the tailgate mod using a stainless steal hose clamp and really want to try out the heated mirror mod since winter's coming.

I really want to get the most out my tacoma, are there any additional 2nd gen mods/accessories this community thinks are a "must have"?

Welcome from Mass also, want to buy some wheels for that ride? 1000.00 for all 4 wheels and tires. Only been on this summer for about 3,000 miles. Tires alone will cost you more than that, and still have the nobbies on them
