    Hello Gentleman

I am new here and just like to say "Hello". Looking forward to learning as much as I can from all of you!

After many years of owning Fords and Chevrolet pickups I decided I would purchase my first Tacoma. I went ahead with a 2010 Access Cab 4x4 SR5 4cyl Manual transmission.

I have been using the search button and looking around the site for the past few days trying to get a feel for it. I have a couple of questions though:

If you purchased this truck which lift and tire/wheel set up would you purchase and run?

I am leaning toward a 3" Toytech with 18" wheels.

    What do you think?

    Thank you all in advance.

Welcome. It all depends on how you use your truck. Are you going to load it with equipment and protection(bumpers, sliders, RTT, extra fuel) and need it to hold weight or are you going to just leave it alone and drive it the way it is? That should change the way look at your suspension and your wheel choices.

    Welcome
It would depend on what you require the lift for.
And being you only have a 4 cylinder, i would be hesitant.
I have only about a 1 inch of lift between the rear TSB and 5100s up front at .85
I found the best improvment is to get rid of the stock tires and upgrade right away.
I chose the goodyear Duratracs, They have proved to be the best all-terrain tire i have owned.
Otherwise this site has much to teach, the more you read the more you learn.
Good luck on your new adventure.

have to ask by your photo, Navy diver?

Thanks guys for the warm welcome!

I do not plan to do any heavy lifting with this truck. The most weight it will see is my new Honda TRX700xx Sport ATV in the back.

To be honest I just like the look of the lift. It will see very little off road use.

skistoy: I work in the diving field but not with the Navy.

My next question is which 3" Lift will make my truck look highest?
