    I have had these for a couple of months now and I can't believe the difference when towing a larger load. I was just recently sent the black heated version and they are a great match to the look of my truck. The chrome finished set was on my truck for a couple of months and is very high quality. I have included the information that is on page 7 post 138 from the manufacture below as well as a couple of pictures of my truck with the black version.

    Original post;
    ProEFX is coming out with a set of towing mirrors for the Tacoma. They are power with a manual extension, LED turn signals and heated. I got a set of prototypes they are chrome (which doesn't go with my truck) and I understand that a set will be available in black also. I'm adding a poll (hopefully) to see what you guys think of them.

    Here's some pics;

    Yea there's a sticky about that. You need to drill to make those fit and also they look like they stick out much further when not in tow mode. These seem to tuck in towards the truck more to me but thats why I put up the poll. I just want to see what everbody thinks.

    Thats awesome that they made some specifically for us. I think its cool how they flip up like that rather than extend. Do they come with a stock looking switch as well?

    I would like to see it in black. Can you also show us how the wiring is set up? Does it plug directly into the stock harness with an extra harness for the heater and turn signals? I am very interested

    Towing mirrors for a Tacoma. Thats great news. Looking forward to throwing those flimsy add on towing mirrors I have now in the bin.

    I'll be keeping my fingers crossed they will be black and available by Sept.

    I just got them in. They have not been installed yet. They are being installed on Thursday. They do not need to be drilled and have two plugs on them but not sure what it takes to install them yet. Keep the questions coming and I will try to answer them as best as I can after they are installed.

    Interesting setup for mirrors and I really like the LED turn signals also. They seem like a double upgrade for people who tow. I'm mainly curious about their price point and their visibility once mounted.

    So I'll check back this weekend.

    they fold in also right ? i think they are awsome if so, i like how you can flip them up and down. not crazy about chrome, but it seams like you could paint it.

    Yes, but spray paint does not last like impregnated ABS plastic.

    There's a Tacoma here in town with Tow Mirrors like these, must be another prototype kit or modified Dodge mirrors, haven't gotten close enough to look. Could definitely come in handy tho :cool:

    plasti dipped wheel caps,
    they probably don't fit "out the box", they are probably custom made to fit the mounting points on the door. probably like the guy who did put dodge ram tow mirrors on his 2nd gen.

    Wtf do you need tow mirrors on a tacoma? Funny because me and some guys at work today got started on this. They serve no purpose unless you have a VERY long load (longer that anyone would pull with a taco). Just makes people wanna whack 'em off lol

    Edit: im not trying to start anything here, just expressing my opinion as was asked
