Nexus is in another league. Smoother, and more refined in EVERY way. Shift points, ignition and valve timing, torque maps, and so much more. Everything has been adjusted. Everything has been refined. Nexus +P is all that AND another 25 horsepower to boot. You wouldn't be disappointed spending $300 on this file. That's no sales pitch my friend, that's the truth.

I forgot to ask, what's the tip in like in this tune? My truck / me have a tendency to really lurch with the sensitive tip ins.

I'm not a fan of heavy tip in. It's higher than 2.0 for sure, but no herky jerky nonsense. ECT is a little spicy, but the initial tip is still very manageable. It gradually becomes more aggressive as you get on it.

I'm right there with you. I drove a heavy tip in tune for a bit, don't miss it. Nexus is tame, but not too tame (don't forget what the "W" stands for though ).

Can you explain what KCLV and
K-F/B is from your main Nexus tune post in basic terms?

Our tunes are pushing 31* and above and running a very consistent of -4 : 0 when the tune is settled.

I just need some time off so I can update my damn ovtune, I wanna play with this tune. I might have the older version of ovt, I don't remember. These 6-10's are driving me insane

You'll have to update to latest version if you're not already on 1.5+

How much more power and performance do you feel? Mpgs?

I’m curious because I’m running the standard Nexus

on the OVtune homepage there is a bright yellow orange banner with a download link.

however, if you rename the desktop shortcut and the current OVtune folder (rename exactly the same) in your c:/ drive > x86 folder, you can keep the old software without overwriting it

Seriously though, we will be running Nexus +P Premium on the dyno in a couple of weeks. We will post the runs ASAP.

Shorts generally just smoke a fuse or wiring. A short is possible, but unlikely unless it’s in a circuit board somewhere.

I’m curious what voltage you were at that caused issues running an AGM tune? I’m the AGM runner for Nexus. I’ve got several different sets of settings for it to run anywhere from 14.1-14.7vdc depending on the battery. Never seen any electronic malfunction even with the alternator pumping out as high as 14.8. Not that I don’t believe yours did. Just curious. I’m an electrician, so you got my interest there. Lol

Normal (cruising) driving I would say is the same in terms of MPG's. Under heavier load, it's likely to drop. But like I mentioned before, it's hard for me to judge with how shitty the city is set up. On the way to work I have 2 stop signs and 11 traffic signals that all love to turn red when my headlights approach it. I swear someone is playing tricks on me every morning. But, with the latest edits we have made to the +P Premium, I would say that if I drive like I was before Nexus was a thing, my MPG's are the same as 2.0.

Power is definitely there. Best way I can describe it, it makes the truck feel lighter. Cruising at 75 on the interstate the other day, I was able to get up to 85 with ease and no downshifting. I was proud of that because no tune I have tested/driven has ever done that before.

I was just joking, definitely not a short, that's just how many amps that fan pulls at full beans.

To be honest, idk if I’m completely sure it was the AGM mod. I was having issues with my backup cam doing wonky stuff. Seemed to crop up around the time I flashed the agm tune. It also seemed to really hurt the alternator, as far as voltage drop.

Funds and PM sent. You knew, and I knew, I was gonna have to try this one. I just wanted to see what you'd say and work a little for my money.

Mooseditty, the tune pusher. Got me hooked back in the early M+W days......
