correct. It was about 4-6 weeks of going back and forth to get the proper information relayed in a manner that made sense. Once we nailed it down they made it and shipped it within a week.
The boot was actually one of the easier parts of the mod.

I just assembled mine and was worried about the spline engagement... you are living my nightmare. I hope mine doesn’t do that, curious what the problem ends up being. I thought the engagement should have been more, mine looks similar to yours.

Fun fact: if you remove the adaptor plates you void the warranty on a Marlin crawl box crawl box purchased through Marlin.

My frankenbox sprung a massive leak Friday.

    62DF67AC-06ED-4387-9528-1EDCC72E1B57.jpg

So I removed it, took it apart, scrubbed every surface with steel wool until it was like glass, used "The Right Stuff" on everything, and it still leaked at the trans. I was reinstalling it at 330 Saturday morning by myself and I was already concerned I hadn't mated them before the sealant cured. So I separated them, cleaned it all again, pre-aligned everything, added sealant, and joined them immediately. 24 hours later, added oil, after an hour with no leaks, thought it was good, added another quart and buttoned it all up.

    This morning:

And it's still weeping at every seam.

I just got off the phone with Marlin, they'll "do me a favor" and check the torque on the adapter and send it back because removing the adapter plates, even to clock it, voids the warranty.

It's leaking at the trans, on the trans side of the plate and it's slowly weeping at the clocking plate in the center.
All the correct holes were plugged with set screws and sealant, both surfaces were clean and sealant coverage was good and even. What am I missing?

the crawler to tcase adapter a inchworm? the clocking portion of that is a bitch to get sealed up. i mean just about all the holes and everything just needs sealant of some sort to get sealed.

It's Inchworm marked Trail Gear adapters, an Inchworm case, and Marlin gears from what I understand. I added sealant to the clocking plate per the instructions but I steered more towards the outside of their recommendation lines to get coverage in between and outside the bolt holes. Honestly, I'm OK with how little it's leaking now compared to before. The trans/crawl box leak is the one I can't seem to get rid of.

I've ordered some rubber gasket material for the trans/crawl box adapter. I'll see if I can't get that one sealed up next weekend.

Go to your local Toyota dealer and get some fipg black. They may have it labeled as seal packing 103 fipg. It's THE best gasket maker I've ever used..
