Changed my oil yesterday. Today I noticed some fresh oil spots on the driveway. But it looked like old dirty oil. I was thinking, when changing out the oil filter and all that oil falling down does it pile up on the top of top of the skid plate? Causing it to leak the old oil for a few days?

This is my first oil change since I bought it.only had it about 3500 miles Im not sure what the dealer had in it. I put Valvaline oil. I wanted to do synth but was on a budget. I mean its not a bad leak. I looked up top at the oil filter and its not leaking from there. The plug underneath had just a tad of oil on it but its tight I double checked it. But once I looked on top of the skid plate from what i can see is where it was worst. cleaned what I could with a rag. gonna check it again in the morning
