I have a 95.5 Toy. I have 156k on the truck and the oil light is coming on now. It sat for the last year while I was overseas with the Army. I drained and refilled all fluids cranked her up and the oil light is coming on I am working my way from the bottom up. The light only comes on when engine is hot and when the truck is at idle. I can't let the old girl go so I am working from the bottom up. I have not been able to locate the oil sending unit yet. If any one can help and also give me any words of advise as to what I should be looking for. What kind of pressure should I be getting out of her when at idle and at RPM? Please help me keep this Yoda on the road. Thank you.

    Hi Brandon, welcome to TW!
Sounds like you're on the right track, proper diagnosis is the key.
Need some more info, what motor, how many miles, and do you have a oil pressure gauge to test with?

And thank you for your service!

Thank you for your quick response, it is a 3RZ-FE 2.7 L in the 4x4 Reg Cab configuration. I have looked through my Chilton and Haynes manual but neither of them match as to the location of the oil sending unit. If you know where I can find it you would be my hero. I do have a pressure gage but I don't have a Tach on hand to accurately measure.
