Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
Yes it probably would. I removed my UCA to install the shocks because i installed LR UCAs, so i decided not to mess with the LCAs. It didn't take much force at all to get the shock/spring in place. If i felt like i was prying to hard i would have loosened the bolts. Thats good advice though

The x models resist sagging more than the previous versions.

I would be more worried about the leaf springs sagging than the 885s. I say skip the spacer. Or get a 2" AAL if you want the spacers for a little more height.

So without the spacer, I should be at 3 inches of lift with the 885s? Sorry if these seem like dumb questions. I don't want to have to get it all installed and regret not installing the spacers.

With an AC you should be close , another option is to use 1/4" spacers

I got about 2.5 inches of lift on my access cab from 885s (pics on first page ) but most access cabs seem to get a little more from what i have read.

You can actually install toytecs tp14 spacers with the stock studs so at least you won't have to breakdown the strut again.

He means the LCA bolts and inner bushing sleeve are probably just a big ball of rust by now. Ask me how I know...

Gotcha. I love your truck by the way. The MGM is a sweet color. Part of me says throw them on there and just hope for the best. If all else fails, i could either take them off or bite the bullet and improve the rear leaf by getting some dakars.

Toyota doesn't lube the bolts when the put them through the LCA bushing so they rust together over time. If you can get yours out, lube them up and reinsert them so they can't seize up later on. Mine were rusted solid. Rob and John helped me replace them, it was a PITA and required some torch work.

That doesn't matter , it gets in the bushing and seizes the bolt to the bushing sleeve

Thank you  someone brought up that you can add a 1/4 spacer with disassembling the shock/spring and pressing in longer studs. So if you are not happy with it right away add the 1/4" spacers before you get an alignment.

You can put a wrench on them and they seem free , but what is actually happening is it is just twisting in the bushing and it's actually seized to the sleeze

    Ask me how I know
