I think the 886s are why your UCAs are angled down more than others, its not the UCA. Im guessing you have more than 3" of lift right? Also your tire clearance to your stock UCA has to do with both tire width + wheel offset/backspace. You probably need an aftermarket UCA to get your caster to spec with the truck as is ... unless you get your bumper and winch and drop the front down.

Your tires are likely rubbing because the stock rim has a lot of +offset and your tires are almost 32" tall (taller than stock), nothing to do with your UCAs. You need wheel spacers or a wheel with less + offset. You will definitely need more like a 0mm offset wheel with a 285 tire.

anybody have an issues with the traction control wire possibly breaking after you finished with the 3inch ome lift... i didnt have a problem until thursday night after i was driving home from getting my truck alignment done... the traction control light is on the whole time driving... not the traction control off light its the light that would turn on when the wheels were sliding... took it back to the guy and they have no idea i checked the wires and plugs and everything looked fine... im going to be meeting up with someone who has a newer scanner to check it out but i wanted to see if anyone else encountered this problem before i drive an hr to meet up with the guy with the scanner

    Wut

You can run 265/70/17 on factory wheels without rubbing , his caster needs to be adjusted most likely

its pretty centered... but i did ride the truck for about a month before getting the alignment done after the lift and i never had a problem with that light until the ride home from them doing whatever they did...

I've had intermittent vsc issues, but only when cornering hard (no wheel slip). I have 5 tires I rotate, so I think one is always a hair larger than the rest, thus causing the issue.

how can I get more travel out of an ome 885 kit.. or should i just look at another brand. I have a '13 prerunner DC and only wanting about 2.5-3 inch of lift but more down travel and not a ride that will knock your teeth out

    1. You don't need more down travel.

    2. If you do you need to go LT or SAS.

    None yet.
Someone help me out here. I have been putting a lot of planning into my build for when I get back from Afghanistan. Right now I'm planning a full OME lift, 886's no top plate spacer, total chaos UCA's, 285/75/16 tires. Relentless bumpers front and back and sliders. Can anyone address my concerns for weird vibrations I might get after install. I know some people get them, some don't; most everyone suggests the carrier bearing drop kit. How likely is it that I'm going to have weird vibrations from the get go. Also with the 6 speed 4.0 I realize I am going to take a hit on mpg but am more concerned with sluggishness, basically if anyone has a similar build can you give me some input on whether or not you're dogging the engine out just getting around town. I know this is pretty vague but I'm looking for some insight or someone to tell me that its not that bad, but after reading through the whole thread I am starting to worry that its more trouble than it may be worth. Thanks.

i got some 885's and read in another thread, average without weight on the front is 2" to 2.5" i was looking for closer to 3" should i buy a small strut spacer for the top to achieve the 3". im waiting on the rear to show up before i install anything so now is the time to buy it instead of later.
