Awesome! I'll be ordering it all very soon to my favourite mailbox in the good ol us of A. What about those rear shocks tho difference from the 60091 to the n182?

 

The n182's are the older style shock , the 60091's are the newer style , I'm not aware of any performance difference between them

 

Anyone tried the King bump stops with the Dakars?



Seems like it would allow for more travel than Superbumps or Timbrens

 

The Dakars are a 7 leaf pack , they will lift a DC approx 2 1/2 " on average

Which control arms did you go with?

 

Probably overkill for dakars. Not sure how much extra uptravel the OME shocks would allow anyway.

 

So i just picked up my new CS047R dakar leafs. Just wondering what you guys think about using shims to correct for pinion angle ? Can they be added after i install the dakar's ?

Depends on which style of shims you use

 

Right. I've seen some with a slot down the middle, which I would assume could be installed at any time. I guess i won't know if i need to shims until i drive the truck with the dakar's installed. Or should i just throw them in for the heck of it ?

 

I would try it without personally , get collars for your centre pins , that projects the head of the centre pin out of the pack an additional approx 1/4" , then if you need to add shims later your leaf pack will still be well seated in the axle

 

I used the 3-5 degree shims from toytec seems to work fine and help with the angle. Though I didn't install the Dakars without the shims so i can't tell ya if there will be more or less vib with our without them. If you do go the shim route it's a good idea to buy longer centering pins or a extension (spacer) to make it longer.

As far as adding it after the install.... Well you would have to uninstall and pull the u bolts.... Blah blah etc.

Right on man, Thanks for the info. I think think i may go this way, i like the idea of no shims. But i do see a few people using them and some not at all. Make for an interesting discussion.

Just getting longer pins doesn't acheive what the collar does

 

Do you have a noticeable vibration with the shims ?

 

I have been chasing a driveline vibration for a while , yes

 

This is true, that's what I ment, I got the collars for mine when I ordered my Daks. Toytec sent me longer pins with my shims that I didn't use just for that reason, plus the stock Dakar pins are long enough with the added collar anyways.
