I have a question for first gen owners. I know a few people have used the 883 coils instead of 881's (with nitro sport struts of course). I am considering going this route as well for my 03 v6 ex cab. I am looking for 2.5in up front and I read that this is achievable with the 883 coils without the addition of the 10mm spacers? Will these still ride softer than the eibachs, which have a larger spring rate of 620? Would 882's be a better idea?

    Thanks in advance

Sorry for derailig your thread randy, alright back on topic. Anyone here running dakars with shocks other than nitrochargers? Something with more travel? Just looking for opinions on what would be a good shock to go with.

    wat?
ordered the nitrocharger sport shocks front/rear, 886 coils, trim packers, and the icon progressive AAL. i'll be taking numbers when i install it all, but i'm already on WE front coilovers w/ 16" 700# coils, 3" sagged AP standard pack, and WE rear shocks. i'm hoping for a much more pleasant ride.
