Another data point for you - I have just under 2" on a 2012 access cab.

Yeah. Truck rides good and looks pretty good and I don't have to worry about CVs, but I want more lift. I just posted above about how to add lift while adding weight.

Hmmmm.....so I may be wise to order the spacers as well if I want a little more lift?

Oz where did you get your lift from? Wondering where the best/cheapest place to get it north of the border is? Although a trip south isn't out of the question. :D

    I have a 1st gen Dcab and I went with 883 & nitro sports.

My original front setup (which had 65,000 miles) measured 34.5" from ground to bottom of fender flair.

With 883 & nitro sports, I went to 38.25". So brandy new, I got 3.75" That # will surely be less after they settle a bit.

As far as the ride, I really do not feel a major difference. I can not speak for the Eibachs. But my coils have a great feel to them. My truck feels like a truck now. Plus it is very capable!

I hope that helps you a bit:)

Do you have center of hub to bottom of fender measurments? Under 2" is more like what you would get with 884s

Yeah it's definitely OME 885x on 90000's. I have the parts boxes. It was 2.3 after the install, and it dropped about 0.5" after beefy sliders with large bolt-on mounting bracket. Here my orig post with numbers. Thanks for looking!
    >>>>>

Hi All. I'm putting on some new parts and would like some advice. I have 885Xs (no trim packer, no spacers) and Dakars on an ACLB. I have sliders and a topper. Here are my current hub center to fender measurements.

    FL: 21.750
    FR: 22.500
    RL: 23.125
    RR: 23.875

In coming weeks I will be adding a steel plate front bumper, winch, and IFS skid. In conjunction, I'm changing to 886s with driver's side trim packer and LR UCAs.

So my current numbers are on the low side. I'm considering using top plate spacer w/ the 886s and the Dakar AAL in order to get 2.5-3 inch lift over stock. I'd like to try to get it right the first time so I only have to get one alignment and only have to pull my shock apart once.

    What do yall think?

Oh ok that makes more sense with added weight.

You don't have to pull the shocks apart to install top plate spacers (I'm adding 1/4" spacers to my 885s on Monday to regain 1/2" of what I lost when I put on a full set of skids & sliders).
It will need to be realigned afterwords.

Right. The slight thicker ones that produce 3/4" lift do, though. They come with longer top mount bolts.

Mine came with the longer bolts. I colud add 3/4" spacers (1 1/2" lift if I had to) without taking them apart.

Your going to use the thikers ones with 886s? Im pretty sure even using the smaller top plate spacers is not recomended with 886s

Well, that's what I'm trying to get some feedback on. With 885x's on nitros and other current configurations I'm at 1.75" of lift over stock. When I add my bumper, winch, and front skid and 886s, will I just end up back at 1.75" of lift? Anybody got a feel for that? My suspicion is I will need one of the 2 spacer sizes to be at 2.5-3" after all the new parts.

Hmmm, im still suprised you only have that much lift with 885s even with added weight. I would install the 886s without spacers first, because like i said im pretty sure it is recomended that you don't use spacers with 886s, then if you dont get enough lift put them in. Or if you are really worried about it get some nice adjustable coilovers with 700 lb 14" springs.

    Nice! Details?

If you have OME post a pic or two & tell us what you got.
What did you put up front & what did you get?
What did you put in back & what did you get?
If you got Dakars on a 2nd Gen share your measurements with OZ 2nd Gen OME Dakar hub to fender measurements
Are you running trail armor & how much lift did you loose or what did you do to regain/maintain lift?
Tire & wheel specs & rub or what you did to eliminate rub.
Are you still running a sway bar?
    Aftermarket UCAs?

    Front passenger: 24
    Rear driver: 24 1/2
    Rear passenger: 24 5/8

Your measurements are pretty different from what I ended up with, even for having a camper shell and sliders... I got 885's with 1/4" top plate spacers but still don't think there should be that large of a difference :notsure:

    You're at 24" up front with 1/4" spacers ?
