I have a overhead console out of a 06 Tacoma with the temp and compass read out.
I did have to resolder the 510 resisitors on this unit and it works fine now.
$175.00 shipped in the US and incls the temp sensor.

I have one for sale too, it ended up being the wrong color, it is gray, my interior is tan, so I'll make everyone the same offer as sideways (I bought mine from him about a week ago). patrickockander@hotmail.com

It's easy to install as long as your truck is prewired for the temp sensor.

The console itself is one screw (pictured above the sunglasses)
then pull straight down on the back of the console (where the temp/compass display is) there are 2 clips holding it in.

The sensor mounts behind the grille, under the hood latch.
Some people have been able to locate the plug and wiring and just mount the sensor then plug it in.

I'm pretty sure all are pre-wired unless you have a 5 lugger. Mine is an SR5 and it has the wiring, but you will need the actual temp sensor.

Gemstar, the repair is very easy to do, including the removal of the console.
If you have even just a little bit of experience soldering, the entire job should only take 10 minutes.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

I took out my display and didnt see any damage to the 510 connection. I did see a burnt spot inside the sealed readout glass in the upper left hand corner. I thought it would be a no fix. I went back out and plugged it in and pushed on the 510 connections. Yep, it came on. I took it back out, soldered both of the 510 's, both sides of each, plugged it it in and its working. I would have never tried this if it wasnt for this forum. Thank you all for the help.
