Yes they are water cooled. Taps off the throttle body coolant lines.

I'm assuming he meant air-to-water intercooler. If so, then no.

    If not, ignore me.

Oh yeah, sorry. I just got done hooking up the water lines on mine so my mind was on that track. AFAIK no air to water option for these. IMO you can squeeze a pretty large air-air core on the front so I don’t thing all the extra plumbing would be that Beneficial?

No I will not ignore. I meant that the turbo is water cooled as opposed to using just oil. There should be 2 oil lines and 2 water lines on the turbo.

I can look. For a photo you could be able to tell now. It’s the shroud to radiator fitment. how’s the time to do it if it’s needed.

nice I was taking to him about it for my truck. loooks like it will be a slick setup.

@MESO not the best but the Top mounts and possible bottom stick out too much and you can’t get a good enough seal. was able to get the top on but the gap is small but it basically renders the shroud useless. You do have to play around with the fitment but you can get the top plate back on. grinding it down 1/8-1/4 or a seal is needed. Have not seen anyone cut it down. I debated.

this shows the corner of the space.

This was my temp on a hot day (90’s) Sitting in a drive through. Fan was useless. A trip through weekend before caused my trans temp light I come on and that’s hard to do 300+ happened on a steep grade in 4wd. Temps were prob already high and cooked it.

    355BA334-2855-47CA-8F13-7B4FB3A882C3.jpg

To test my theory I used some HVAC heat tape to block the spacing.

temps after with some WOT etc to get heat up. Def need a bigger trans cooler but way cooler.

Thanks for the pics and heads up. Looks like I have the same gap. So will have to seal it before install.

    Nice work!

Can you apply this to the vF tunes also?

This solves the bottom end limits right?

    Thanks!

Are your pictures saying that throttle was limited to 50% at 6000 roms in 4H?
