Just get the swingout, you can take it off and store as needed...the actual bumper part with the swingout version is physically different, since it is a little bit longer to accommodate the spindle and swingout.

    I'm loving mine! :)

    Also, some updated pictars:

You know, you have a point there. Great idea. Really do want that swing out to be honest, just the parking issue is what concerns me in the garage. What I really love about the swingout is the Rotopax storage. Freak'n sweet. If it can be taken off when not wheelin and still look somewhat normal I'm down for that. Do you have any pics of it with the swingout off? Wondering how it looks for those day's I'm too lazy to put it on before heading out to work.

The best picture I have is this one if you just pretend the swingout's not there  The only thing that will look a little awkward is the spindle sticking out of the bumper when the swingout is not on. Which you would probably wanna cover somehow so it doesn't get banged up or get a bunch of crap on it.

Here is a picture where you can see what the bumper looks like with the spindle sticking out. (all the bearings and such go into the hub, they do not stay on the spindle like in the picture, but you get the point)

And another full shot if you can even see it, sorry for the bad quality.

Trying to convince the wife that i need a high clearance rear bumper with swing out. Might have to lie about the price a little...

Thank you for the pics! That helps a ton. Doesn't look to bad with the swing out off I think. Now I'm going to have to order one these. I'll start preparing for the yelling from wife now.

Wonder if I can just order the Bumper prepared for swing out and maybe get the swing out ordered later....that way to break up the cost a little to "chill the wife" down LOL!

You "could" do that but you would have to go to a fab shop locally to get the gate added. They are all made to fit. We could add the spindle but the latch system would still need to be fit and welded.
The spindle is a big part if the cost for the swing out so at that point it's best to just do the entire thing.
If you are considering the gate as a removable item it is but not something you would want to do more than every once and a while.

yeah if I would have to go to a fab shop after to get it added it prob would just ending up costing more than I want to mess with anyway at that point. Getting it all at once is best I guess.

Where should I be hooking safety chains with the hidden hitch if I tow?

Two triangular hoops located at the bottom of the hitch on the back side of the bumper right where you put the hitch pin through.

Ah ok, I assumed those...Thought maybe they doubled as gussets and hook-ups.
