    I feel like I am missing some L shape brackets or something for my rear bumper. I have 6 bolts attached now but two open holes on each side at the bottom.

    Also, one side fits just right and the other side sits low? The holes limit out so we can't get it up higher. The only option is to level it out and have to bumper sit low all around. Did anyone have to modify the mounting brackets for a perfect fit?

    Take a picture of how low it sits from the side, you need a decent gap, otherwise when you flex you will bend your bed panels :anonymous: . Also take a pic of the bolts you are talking about.

    The bolt holes that are not really holes but can slide on? We had to grind mine out to make the "u shape" bigger for a better fit.

    Your passenger gap is about what I have and what is good...are you having trouble with the "u" shaped holes that mount to the frame?

    Like I said in my earlier post, we had to grind mine out a little bit to fit right.

    Yeah the passenger gap is clean. Probably a hair more than a 1/4'' but looks good. As far as I could tell the limiting piece was the "U" shape hole. I was planning on starting there but wanted to see what everyone had to say before hacking up the new bumper.

    Also, these are the two mounting holes that are just hanging out. I figured there would be a L-shaped bracket to add more support? My hitch utilized those bolts. Just seems weird to have two empty holes.

    Hmmm, Ill check out the rear bumper and see if I have them. The hitch I installed bolted straight to that so it may have been tossed...I hope not.

    Dang, that sucks. I have some angle iron I can cut up that should work. I am just not sure how I could drill the holes since I don't have a vice or a drill that would work well. I can probably just take them to a local shop for cheap.

    Just a crappy ol' walmart special I "borrowed" from a friend :p. It works alright for easy things like sheet metal and wood but nothing thick. That's a pretty big hole too and I don't have a proper set of bits for that. Probably would be cheaper and faster to have a shop drill the holes.
